Antonis Vardis
Antonis Vardis ( el, Αντώνης Βαρδής; 7 August 1948 – 2 September 2014) was a Greeks, Greek composer and singer. Born in Moschato, a suburb of Athens, Vardis established a 40-year career as a composer and singer, collaborating with well-known Greek singers: George Dalaras, Yiannis Parios, Vasilis Papakonstantinou, Haris Alexiou, Dimitra Galani, and Anna Vissi. In 1997 he collaborated with Austrian musician Gert Steinbäcker (S.T.S.), when he sung parts of the song ''O xenos''. He is considered one of the most popular laïko singers of his time, and has been characterized with having a genuine laïko voice. Antonis Remos ( el, Αντώνης Ρέμος, ; born Antonios Paschalidis, el, Αντώνιος Πασχαλίδης, links=no; 19 June 1970) is a Greek singer. Biography Early life He was born in Düsseldorf, West Germany. Later his family moved back to their native Thessaloniki, Greece, where he finished school. During his childhood he got involved with music and learned to play the guitar and drums. First commercial success (1995–2000) After many appearances in Thessaloniki, in 1995 Antonis Remos had his first live appearance in Athens. Moschato
Moschato ( el, Μοσχάτο) is a suburb in the southwestern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Moschato-Tavros, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. Geography Moschato is situated on the Phaleron Bay coast, east of the mouth of the river Cephissus. The municipal unit has an area of 2.325 km2. It is 6 km southwest of Athens city centre and 3 km east of Piraeus. The southern end of Motorway 1 (Athens - Thessaloniki) is in Moschato.
