Clifford Antone
Clifford Antone (October 27, 1949 – May 22, 2006) was the founder of the eponymous Austin blues club Antone's and independent record label Antone's Records and Tapes, as well as a mentor to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, Kim Wilson, Gary Clark, Jr. and numerous other musicians. He is the nephew of Jalal Antone, the founder of the Houston-based Antone's Import Co - known for its po-boy sandwiches. Biography Born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Greek Orthodox Lebanese American parents who had settled in Eastern Texas, Antone moved to Austin in 1968 and attended The University of Texas at Austin. Antone Davis
Antone Eugene Davis (born February 28, 1967) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle and guard in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons during the 1990s. He played one year of football for Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Georgia, and was recruited out of high school by the Tennessee Military Institute, for whom he played one year of college football. He earned a full scholarship to play for the Tennessee Volunteers the following year and started at left guard during his sophomore year in 1988. He was moved to right offensive tackle before his junior year and earned unanimous All-American honors as a senior in 1990. He finished as a finalist for the 1990 Outland Trophy as well, and was drafted by the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles as the eighth overall selection in the 1991 NFL Draft. Bruce Antone
Bruce Antone (born November 1, 1960) is an American politician from Florida. A Democrat, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2002 to 2006 and again from 2012 to 2020, representing parts of Orlando in Orange County. Early life and career Antone was born in Mobile, Alabama, and attended Tuskegee University, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering in 1983. Following graduation, he started graduate studies in electrical engineering, but moved to the state of Florida in 1984, where he pursued graduate studies in public administration at the University of Central Florida, but did not graduate. Antone worked as a legislative aide to State Senator Buddy Dyer from 1992 to 1999, including serving as his chief of staff. Antone, Oregon
Antone is a former community in Wheeler County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Antone is south of U.S. Route 26 between Mitchell and Dayville. A gravel road called Antone Lane runs south of and roughly parallel to Route 26, to which it connects both east of Mitchell, in Wheeler County, and west of Dayville, in Grant County. The road crosses Rock Creek, a tributary of the John Day River, at Antone. The Ochoco Mountains and the Ochoco National Forest are directly south of Antone. The location was named in the early 1890s for Antone Francisco, a pioneer settler of Portuguese descent. A post office operated in Antone from 1894 through 1948 except for a three-year hiatus. Antone was the site of a U.S. Army barracks built to protect miners and other travelers after Chief Paulina's Northern Paiute warriors killed several soldiers in this vicinity in 1864. Antone Smith (born September 17, 1985) is a former American football running back. He played high school football for Pahokee. Smith was considered an All American 5 star running back and was named Mr.Florida. He went on to play college football at Florida State. Antone Charles "Tony" Costa (August 2, 1944 – May 12, 1974) was an American serial killer and carpenter who achieved notoriety for committing serial murders in and around the Massachusetts town of Truro in 1969. Early life and crimes Antone Charles Costa was born on August 2, 1944, in Cambridge Massachusetts. Costa started committing violent crimes at a relatively early age, when in November 1961, at age 17, he was arrested and charged with burglary and assault after breaking into a house and attacking a teenage girl. He was sentenced to three years of probation and a one-year suspended sentence for the crime. In 1966, Costa picked up two women and promised to take them to Pennsylvania on his way to California. Anthony Joseph "Antone" Williamson (born July 18, 1973) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) first baseman who played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1997. Amateur career Williamson attended Arizona State University, and in 1992 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
