Anton Heiberg
Anton Wilhelm Scheel Heiberg ( 26 March 1878– 11 September 1947) was a Norwegian stage instructor and theatre director. He was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was a son of judge Edvard Omsen Heiberg (1829–1884) and his wife Minna (Vilhelmine) Rode (1836–1917). He was the brother of Gunnar Edvard Rode Heiberg, Jacob Vilhelm Rode Heiberg, and Inge Heiberg. He studied law from 1896 and took his law degree in 1902. From 1903 he was a stage director and from 1905, he was theatre director at the Nationaltheatret. He was theatre director of the Den Nationale Scene in Bergen from 1905 to 1907. He was in charge of ''Tivoli Teater'' in Kristiania from 1912 to 1914. He was stage director for Maaltheatret in 1915, and artistic director at the Norwegian Theatre 1915-16. He ran the ''Friluftsteatret'' summer theatre at Bygdøy in the 1920s, and the cabaret ''Edderkoppen'' together with Bokken Lasson. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Jacob Vilhelm Rode Heiberg
Jacob Vilhelm Rode Heiberg (19 February 1860 – 19 February 1946) was a Denmark, Danish born, Norway, Norwegian civil servant and burgomaster. He was born in Vallø, Denmark as the son of judge Edvard Omsen Heiberg (1829–1884). He was a brother of Gunnar Heiberg, Gunnar and Inge Heiberg, as well as a first cousin of Eivind Heiberg, Eivind and Gustav Adolf Lammers Heiberg and a first cousin once removed of Bernt Heiberg, Bernt, Axel Heiberg (judge), Axel and Edvard Heiberg. He took the examen artium in 1878 and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1884. He had been hired in the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, Ministry of Church and Education already in 1878, and became subdirector in 1894. Inge Heiberg
Inge Valdemar Heiberg (11 October 1861 – 1 July 1920) was a Norwegian physician who served as director of medicine in Belgian Congo from 1911 to 1920. He was born in Christiania as a son of judge Edvard Omsen Heiberg (1829–1884) and Minna Rode (1836–1917). He was a brother of Gunnar and Jakob Vilhelm Rode Heiberg, as well as a first cousin of Eivind and Gustav Adolf Lammers Heiberg and a first cousin once removed of Bernt, Axel and Edvard Heiberg, and uncle of Hans Heiberg. He took the examen artium in 1879 and enrolled in medicine studies. Nationaltheatret
The National Theatre in Oslo ( no, Nationaltheatret) is one of Norway's largest and most prominent venues for performance of dramatic arts. History The theatre had its first performance on 1 September 1899 but can trace its origins to Christiania Theatre, which was founded in 1829. Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene is also one of the oldest permanent theatres in Norway. History Opened under the name '' Det Norske Theater'' in 1850, the theatre has roots dating back to its founding on the initiative of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. Bygdøy
Bygdøy or Bygdø is a peninsula situated on the western side of Oslo, Norway. Administratively, Bygdøy belongs to the borough of Frogner; historically Bygdøy was part of Aker Municipality and became part of Oslo in 1948. Bokken Lasson
Caroline "Bokken" Lasson (7 January 1871 – 3 August 1970) was a Norwegian concert and cabaret singer. She is known for starting the Oslo cabaret Chat Noir in 1912, and also for introducing the children's song "Tuppen og Lillemor" to the Norwegian public. Early and personal life Caroline Lasson was born in Christiania as the daughter of lawyer Christian Otto Carl Lasson and Alexandra Cathrine Henriette von Munthe af Morgenstierne. She was a granddaughter of lawyer and politician Peder Carl Lasson, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Norway. She was a sister of composer Per Lasson and painter Oda Krohg, and sister-in-law of the painters Christian Krohg and Frits Thaulow. Carl Johan Theater
The Carl Johan Theater ( no, Carl Johan Teatret) was a theater in Oslo, Norway. It was initially located in the Christiania Tivoli amusement park in Oslo from 1893 to 1895, where it was led by Olaf Mørch Hansson. It staged performance of works such as Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts, Gabriel Finne's ''Før afskeden'' (Before the Farewell), and Gunnar Heiberg's ''Balkonen'' (The Balcony). Gustav Thomassen (16 February 1862 – 6 May 1929) was a Norwegian stage actor and theatre director. Biography Thomassen was born in Bergen, Norway. He was the son of Salmaker Osmund Thomassen (1816-1892) and Caroline Olava Thomine Eckhoff (1828-1871). He made his stage debut in 1881 at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen. He worked at Den Nationale Scene until 1905, and served as theatre director from 1900 to 1905. From 1905 to 1929 he worked as an actor and instructor at Nationaltheatret in Oslo.
