Anthony Dod Mantle
Anthony Dod Mantle, (born 14 April 1955) is a British cinematographer and still photographer. He won the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography for ''Slumdog Millionaire'' (2008). Other accolades include two Bodil Awards, two European Film Awards, and four Robert Awards. Dod Mantle is considered a pioneer of digital filmmaking through his collaborations with directors Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg and Danny Boyle, where he popularized the use of "action-style" handheld cameras over traditional, stationary 35mm rigs. A veteran of Dogme 95, he is heavily influenced by the ''cinéma vérité'' film movement. He is a member of the British, Danish, and American Society of Cinematographers, and resides in Copenhagen. Witney is a market town on the River Windrush in West Oxfordshire in the county of Oxfordshire, England. It is west of Oxford. The place-name "Witney" is derived from the Old English for "Witta's island". The earliest known record of it is as ''Wyttannige'' in a Saxon charter of 969. Thomas Vinterberg
Thomas Vinterberg (; born 19 May 1969) is a Danish film director who, along with Lars von Trier, co-founded the Dogme 95 movement in filmmaking, which established rules for simplifying movie production. He is best known for the films ''The Celebration'' (1998), '' Submarino'' (2010), '' The Hunt'' (2012), '' Far from the Madding Crowd'' (2015), and '' Another Round'' (2020). For ''Another Round'', he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director and won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, the former became the first Danish filmmaker nominated for Best Director. ''Antichrist'' (stylized as ''ANTICHRIS♀'') is a 2009 Horror film, horror art film written and directed by Lars von Trier and starring Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg. It tells the story of a couple who, after the accidental death of their son, retreat to a cabin in the woods where the man experiences strange visions and the woman manifests increasingly violent sexual behavior and sadomasochism. ''The Celebration'' ( da, Festen) is a 1998 Danish dark comedy-drama film directed by Thomas Vinterberg and produced by Nimbus Film. The film tells the story of a family gathering to celebrate their father's 60th birthday, juggling subjects of death, child abuse, trauma, and family. Vinterberg was inspired to write it with Mogens Rukov, based on a hoax broadcast by a Danish radio station.It was the first Dogme 95 film, an artistic movement created by Danish directors Vinterberg and Lars von Trier. The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage () is a festival dedicated to the celebration of cinematography and recognition of its creators, cinematographers. The first seven events (1993–1999) were held in Toruń, Poland. The next ten events (2000–2009) were held in Łódź. From 2010 until 2018 the festival took place in Bydgoszcz, before returning to Toruń in 2019, where it currently remains. In 2007, the name of the festival was changed from Camerimage to Plus Camerimage but was changed back in 2013 after the sponsorship deal with Plus ended. At the end of November every year, Camerimage brings together professional cinematographers, students and other people associated with the film industry. ''Wallander'' is a British television series adapted from the Swedish novelist Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels and starring Kenneth Branagh as the eponymous police inspector. It was the first time the ''Wallander'' novels have been adapted into an English-language production.
