Anouschka
Germany was represented by Inge Brück, with the song "Anouschka", at the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 8 April in Vienna. As in 1966 the German entry was chosen internally, rather than through a public final, by broadcaster HR. Before Eurovision Internal selection 145 songs were submitted to the selection. A jury presided by Hans-Otto Grünefeldt, TV program director of HR, selected "Anouschka" at the Broadcasting House Dornbusch, the site which also served as venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 1957. The winning song was announced on 5 January 1967. At Eurovision On the night of the final Brück performed ninth in the running order, following Finland and preceding Belgium. Inge Brück
Inge Brück (born 12 October 1936) is a German singer and actress, best known internationally for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1967. Brück began her singing career with the Erwin Lehn Dance Orchestra, where she was noticed by pianist Horst Jankowski, who arranged a television appearance with Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff, following which she was offered a recording contract. In 1957, she had a hit with "", a version of "Green Door", which reached No. 7 in the German chart. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, she made numerous TV appearances, appeared in stage musicals and toured with orchestras including those of Jankowski and Hazy Osterwald. Following a 1966 victory in an International Song Festival in Brazil, Brück was selected by broadcaster NDR to be the German representative in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest. Hans Blum (born 23 May 1928), also known as Henry Valentino, is a German singer-songwriter known for his distinctive musical style, which has been the inspiration of a generation of German musicians. His recordings include the hit single "Im Wagen vor mir." The Eurovision Song Contest 1967 was the 12th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Vienna, Austria, following the country's victory at the with the song "Merci, Chérie" by Udo Jürgens. Broadcasting House Dornbusch ("''Funkhaus am Dornbusch''") is headquarters and main broadcasting facility of the German public broadcaster for the state of Hessen, Hessischer Rundfunk. History The site and the building were originally intended as the parliamentary building for German Bundestag. The plans for the round building ("Rundhaus") were developed in 1948 by architect Gerhard Weber. In anticipation for the German capital being moved to Frankfurt, building work had started. However, the parliamentary council voted for Bonn as new seat of government. While the shell of the building had been completed at this point, the plans were changed to re-dedicate the site as new seat for the regional broadcaster.
