Anna-Lisa Thomson
Anna-Lisa Thomson, born 20 September 1905 in Karlskrona, Sweden, died 12 February 1952, was a Swedish painter and ceramist . Biography Anna-Lisa Thomson received her education at the Technical School in Stockholm from 1924 to 1928. She began immediately after training at the ceramic factory St. Erik lervarufabrik in Uppsala. After two years, she was the factory's artistic director. In the mid 1930s she came to Upsala-Ekeby Upsala-Ekeby AB was a porcelain, tile, brick, and glass company founded in 1886 in Uppsala, Sweden. Karlskrona
Karlskrona (, , ) is a locality and the seat of Karlskrona Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden with a population of 66,675 in 2018. It is also the capital of Blekinge County. Upsala-Ekeby AB was a porcelain, tile, brick, and glass company founded in 1886 in Uppsala, Sweden. From 1910 to 1945, Upsala-Ekeby produced tiled cocklestoves in Ekeby. In 1910, Upsala-Ekeby hired designers for their production of household and art ceramics. Upsala-Ekeby expanded by buying competing companies including Gefle Porcelain AB Group and the AB Karlskrona Porcelain Factory. In 1964, Upsala-Ekeby began a major expansion with the acquisition of the Swedish ceramic company Rörstrand. To expand their tabletop business, Upsala-Ekeby acquired Reijmyre Glassworks, Kosta Boda (glass) and GAB Gense (cutlery). Grundsund
Grundsund () is a urban areas of Sweden, locality situated in Lysekil Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 627 inhabitants in 2010. It is located in the middle Bohusläns outer coastal strip, south of municipal seat of Lysekil and west of Uddevalla. History The community is built partly on Skaftölandet and partly on Ösö. It is named after the shallow inlet, now known as Grundsund Canal that separates the two islands from each other. It has lineage back to at least the 17th century as a fishing village, but it wasn't until the great herring periods that settlement increased.
