Anke Van Gestel
Anke Van Gestel (born 19 August 1993) is a Belgian kickboxer, who has been professionally competing since 2010. She is the current ISKA World Super Lightweight K1 and Light Welterweight Oriental Rules champion, and the former Enfusion 61 and 64 kg Champion. In June 2020, Combat Press ranked her as #8 female fighter in the world. Martial arts career Anke Van Gestel had her first kickboxing bout against Griet Eeckhout in November of 2010. She won the fight by unanimous decision to become the Belgian kickboxing champion. In the following two years Van Gestel amassed an 8-1-2 record, with a notable win over Hatice Ozyurt. She then entered the Amazon of K-1 Grand Prix, but lost to Martina Jindrová in the first round. After a win over Eva Berben, Van Gestel faced Ilona Wijmans for the inaugural Enfusion 61 kg title. Wang Kehan
Wang Kehan (born 15 November 1995) is a Chinese Sanda kickboxer, who has spent the majority of her career fighting under the banner of Kunlun Fight in her native China. Between July 2018 and April 2019 she was ranked #6 woman in the world and #5 between June 2019 and March 2020 by Combat Press. Combat Press has continually ranked her in the top ten since ranking her #4 in November 2016, before dropping her from the rankings in April 2020 due to inactivity. Mariakerke, East Flanders
Mariakerke is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders. It is part of the urban area of the province's capital city Ghent. Its population is of 11,883 people (2007). History In the 17th century, Mariakerke was divided in two because of the construction of the "Brugse Vaart", a canal that connects the cities of Ghent and Bruges. The west side is Mariakerke center. The east side of Mariakerke is known as Kolegem. Because of the hundreds of years of separation, both halves developed their own unique atmosphere. Mariakerke obtained the status of independent village in 1793, after which a bridge was constructed to connect both halves of the village. The bridge has been destroyed several times during war, which makes that the actual bridge was put up in 1964.
