Anjana Sultana is a retired Bangladeshi film actress. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film '' Parineeta'' (1986). Early life and career Sultana was born and grew up in Dhaka. She made her acting debut in the film ''Shetu''. Her first released film was Shamsuddin Togor directed ''Doshshu Bonhur'' (1976). She got her breakthrough in the film ''Matir Maya'' (1976). Her fifth film was ''Ashikkhito ''Ashikkhito'' (English: Illiterate) ( bn, অশিক্ষিত) is a 1978 Bangladeshi film directed by Azizur Rahman starring Abdur Razzak and Anjana Sultana opposite him. Shamsuddin Togor ( – 23 July 2012) was a Bangladeshi film director. Biography Togor's first direction was ''Dosyu Bonhur''. Anjana made her debut in the silver screen with this film. Togor also directed films like ''Akheri Nishan'' and ''Banjaran''. These films are selected for preservation in  Bangladesh Film Archive. Togor died on 23 July 2012 at the age of 68.
