Aniston Fernandes
Aniston Fernandes (born 4 July 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Dempo in the I-League. Career Early career Born in Betalbatim, Goa, Fernandes started playing football for his school team at the age of eight while attending St Anthony’s High School. He then joined his village school, St Judas High School, before joining the Tata Football Academy in 2008. He then joined the youth team at Dempo in 2011. While at Dempo, Fernandes played for the youth side in the GFA 2nd Division as well as the first-team in the Goa Professional League, the top state league in Goa. Also, in 2011, along with teammate Myron Fernandes, Aniston went abroad to Denmark for three to four months to train at the academy of Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland. Alwyn George is an Indian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for NorthEast United in the Indian Super League. Career Pailan Arrows Alwyn started his football career with the Tata Football Academy in 2008 and won the Junior National Championship with Tata FA in 2008, beating Sporting Goa youth 3–1. After spending four years at Tata, Alwyn signed his first professional contract with Pailan Arrows in the I-League on 11 February 2012. The next day, Alwyn made his debut in the I-League against Dempo in a game in which the Arrows lost 2–0 but with Alwyn putting in a man of the match performance for his team. The Lusofonia Games ( pt, Jogos da Lusofonia) is a multinational multi-sport event organized by the ACOLOP, which involves athletes coming from Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) countries. Most countries competing are countries that are members of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Language Countries), but some are countries with significant Portuguese communities or have a history with Portugal. The 2013–14 I-League (known as the ''Airtel I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the I-League, the top-tier Indian professional league for football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 21 September 2013, and ended on 28 April 2014. Churchill Brothers were the defending champions, having won their second I-League title in the previous season. On 21 April 2014, Bengaluru FC were crowned champions with one game remaining, winning their first ever I-League title by defeating Dempo 2–4 at Fatorda Stadium.
