Animetal USA (album)
is the debut album by Japan-based American heavy metal band Animetal USA, formed as a tribute to Eizo Sakamoto's band Animetal. Released through SME Records on October 12, 2011, the album consists of a series of English language covers of popular anime theme songs. It received an American release on June 26, 2012, containing four bonus tracks from their follow up album ''Animetal USA W''. are a Japan-based American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed as a tribute to Eizo Sakamoto's band Animetal. They made their world debut at the 2011 Loud Park Festival, where they performed on stage with Momoiro Clover Z. The band's original members consisted of lead vocalist Michael Vescera (of Obsession (band), Obsession, formerly of Loudness (band), Loudness and Yngwie Malmsteen), guitarist Chris Impellitteri (of Impellitteri), bassist Rudy Sarzo (formerly of Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, and Queensrÿche#With Geoff Tate, the Geoff Tate lineup of Queensrÿche) and drummer Scott Travis (of Judas Priest and Racer X (band), Racer X). For over 50 years, he had recorded over 1,200 songs for Japanese film, television, video and video games.
