Andy Lee (snooker Player)
Andy Lee (born 27 November 1980), also known as Lee Chun Wai, is an English and Hong Kong professional snooker player. Career He qualified for the main tour for the 2008–09 season by beating Adam Duffy 6–3 in the 2008 English Pro Ticket Tour Play-offs. In his début season, he reached the last 64 of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix, beating Lewis Roberts 5–2 and Barry Pinches 5–4 before losing 2–5 to Jimmy Michie; in the China Open, Lee beat Matthew Selt and Paul Davies before losing at the same stage to Gerard Greene. Having earned £5,000 in prize money, Lee finished the season ranked 83rd and was relegated from the main tour. As an amateur, Lee competed in the Players Tour Championship series between 2010 and 2016, without any success. Hinckley
Hinckley is a market town in south-west Leicestershire, England. It is administered by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. Q School (snooker)
The Q School is an amateur snooker competition which serves as the qualification process for the World Snooker Tour. Overview The Q School was established in an attempt to streamline the qualification process for the World Snooker Tour. A series of play-offs are run every year before the season. Players pay a fixed entry fee to enter the play-off events, and there is no prize money. Each player who wins a quarter-final game qualifies for a two-year tour card on the Main Tour. 2018 Paul Hunter Classic
The 2018 Paul Hunter Classic was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place in August 2018 at the Stadthalle in Fürth, Germany. It was the third ranking event of the 2018/2019 season. The tournament is named in honour of former snooker professional, Paul Hunter. Michael White was the defending champion, however he lost 1–4 to Zhang Anda in the last 32. Kyren Wilson won his second ranking tournament, beating Peter Ebdon 4–2 in the final after Ebdon had taken a two-frame lead. Neil Robertson
Neil Robertson (born 11 February 1982) is an Australian professional snooker player who is a former world champion and former world number one. The only Australian to have won a ranking event, he is also the only player from outside the United Kingdom to have completed snooker's Triple Crown, having won the World Championship in 2010, the Masters in 2012 and 2022, and the UK Championship in 2013, 2015 and 2020. It was the second ranking event of the 2018/19 season. Qualifying took place between 6–9 July in Preston. Kuldesh Johal (born 25 September 1980) is an English former professional snooker player. He competed on the main tour during the 2008/2009 and 2010/2011 seasons. Career Born in 1980, Johal played in Challenge Tour qualifying events in the early 2000s, without any success. Q School 2018 - Event 3
The 2018 Q School was a series of three snooker tournaments held at the start of the 2018–19 snooker season. An event for amateur players, it served as a qualification event for a place on the professional World Snooker Tour for the following two seasons. The events took place in May 2018 at the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton-upon-Trent, England with a total 12 players qualifying via the three tournaments. Format The 2018 Q School consisted of three events. The three events had 202 entries competing for 12 places on the main tour, four players qualifying from each of the three events. Lu Ning (, born 1 January 1994 in Jilin) is a professional snooker player from the People's Republic of China. Lu is among ten Chinese players currently suspended from the professional tour amid a match-fixing investigation. Career Lu's first appearance in a ranking tournament was in the wildcard round of the 2012 World Open, where he defeated 1996 British Open winner Nigel Bond 5–4 in Haikou.
