Q School (snooker)
The Q School is an amateur snooker competition which serves as the qualification process for the World Snooker Tour. Overview The Q School was established in an attempt to streamline the qualification process for the World Snooker Tour. A series of play-offs are run every year before the season. Players pay a fixed entry fee to enter the play-off events, and there is no prize money. Each player who wins a quarter-final game qualifies for a two-year tour card on the Main Tour. Snooker

Adam Duffy
Adam Duffy (born 30 March 1989) is an English professional snooker player. Duffy qualified for the 2011–12 professional Main Tour as one of four semi-finalists from the third and final Q School event. Career Debut season As a new player on the tour Duffy would need to win four qualifying matches to reach the main stage of the ranking event tournaments. He came closest to doing this in the sixth event of the year, the Welsh Open, where he received a bye through round one and then beat James Wattana and Jack Lisowski, before being whitewashed 0–4 by former world champion Peter Ebdon in the final qualifying round. Paul Davison
Paul S. Davison (born 1 October 1971) is an English former professional snooker player from Pickering, North Yorkshire. First earning a place on the World Snooker Tour in 1992, he played on the tour until 1997, and has since regained his place on the Tour on three further occasions, most recently in the 2018-19 snooker season. Davison reached a peak of 70th in the world snooker rankings in 2012, and the farthest into a ranking tournament at the 2017 Riga Masters. He has made a total of 76 professional century breaks, the highest being a 144 made in qualifying for the 2001 World Snooker Championship. Sean O'Sullivan (snooker Player)
Sean O'Sullivan (born 29 April 1994) is an English professional snooker player. Career O'Sullivan turned professional in 2012 after qualifying via Event 2 of the Q School and gained a two-year tour card for the 2012–13 and 2013–14 snooker seasons. In the event, he beat Christopher Keogan 4–1, Nick Dyson 4–0, Mohammed Al Shaikh from Bahrain 4–1 and Michael Wild 4–3, before seeing off Ryan Causton 4–1 in the quarter-finals. Jamie O'Neill (snooker Player)
Jamie O'Neill (born 19 August 1986) is an English professional snooker player who lives in Wellingborough. Career O'Neill began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. He qualified for the 2007/2008 Main Tour by finishing 6th in the International Open Series Order of Merit. He won the sixth of eight events, beating Ashley Wright 6–2 in the final at Prestatyn. Daniel Wells (born 31 July 1988) is a Welsh former professional snooker player from Neath. He has twice come through Qualifying School to play on the professional snooker tour. Career Early career He was awarded the inaugural Paul Hunter Scholarship. Chen Zhe
Chen Zhe (; born 28 February 1993) is a Chinese former professional snooker player from Shanxi who won five matches at Q School in 2012 to earn a two-year card to play on the World Snooker Tour starting in the 2012–13 season. He is based in Romford, England during the season and practises with Ronnie O'Sullivan. Ian Burns (born 11 March 1985) is an English professional snooker player. Sam Baird (born 17 June 1988) is an English former professional snooker player. He first entered the professional tour for the 2009–10 snooker season, 2009/10 season, by winning the EBSA Pro-Ticket Tour Play-offs. Career 2011/2012 season Baird reached the main draw of a ranking event for the first time in 2012 by coming through four qualifying matches, concluding with a 4–2 win over Dominic Dale, to make the 2012 Welsh Open (snooker), 2012 Welsh Open. Martin O'Donnell (snooker Player)
Martin O'Donnell (born 4 June 1986) is an English former professional snooker player. He gained a two-year place on the main snooker tour by coming through Q School in 2012. He practices at Shootpool & Snooker in Aylesbury. Career Early career As an amateur, O'Donnell played in all 12 of the Players Tour Championship events during the 2010/2011 season. He reached the second round on three occasions, but could not progress any further, however, in Event 3 he defeated former world champion, Shaun Murphy 4–3. O'Donnell finished 109th on the Order of Merit. He entered Q School at the end of the season in an attempt to turn professional and in the final event he was one match away from achieving this.
