André Pieyre De Mandiargues
André Pieyre de Mandiargues (14 March 1909 – 13 December 1991) was a French writer born in Paris. He became an associate of the Surrealists and married the Italian painter Bona Tibertelli de Pisis (a niece of the Italian metaphysical painter Count Filippo Tibertelli de Pisis). He was a particularly close friend of the painter Leonor Fini. His novel ''La Marge'' (1967; Eng: ''The Margin'') won the Prix Goncourt and was made into a film of the same name by Walerian Borowczyk in 1976. It is his collection of pornographic items that is featured in Borowczyk's ''Une collection particulière''. Borowczyk also used Mandiargues' work for the first story included in his anthology film Immoral Tales (film), ''Immoral Tales''. He also wrote an introduction to Anne Desclos's ''Story of O'' and was a signatory to the Manifesto of the 121. Prix Goncourt Winners
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous of Banjo playing. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. Salah Stétié ( ar, صلاح ستيتية) (28 September 1929 – 19 May 2020) was a Lebanese writer and poet who wrote in the French language. He also served in various diplomatic positions for Lebanon in countries such as Morocco and France. Although his mother tongue was Arabic, Stetie chose to write in French. Biography Salah Stetie was born on 28 September 1929 in Beirut, Lebanon to a bourgeois Sunni family. His father, Mahmoud Stetie, was a teacher and Arabic poet who provided his son with a solid foundation in Arabic and Muslim culture. In his native country, he studied at the French Protestant College of Beirut, Saint Joseph University of Beirut, and the Graduate School of Arts of Beirut, where he studied Letters and Law under the tutelage of Gabriel Bounoure, whom he considered a spiritual teacher. Jean-Louis Vicomte de Bretizel Rambures (; 19 May 1930 – 20 May 2006) was a French journalist, author, translator of literature, literary critic, and cultural attaché. He introduced contemporary German literature to a broader French audience by interviewing German authors, translating and discussing them in ''Le Monde''. He also contributed to the rapprochement of the French and the Germans as head of the Institut Français, e.g. in Frankfurt. Anke-Eve Goldmann was a journalist for '' Cycle World'', ''Das Motorrad'' in Germany, ''Moto Revue'' in France and other international motorcycle magazines. Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull (born 29 December 1946) is an English singer and actress.
