Andrew Bilesky
Andrew Bilesky is a Canadian curler from New Westminster, British Columbia. Career Bilesky has skipped teams on the World Curling Tour since the 2009–10 curling season. His best finish to date is as champion at the 2011 Kamloops Crown of Curling. Bilesky won his first Men’s provincial curling championship in 2013 after defeating Brent Pierce in the final. Royal City Curling Club
Construction of the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, began in August 1965, and was completed in January 1966. The club's first president was George Reid, and its first ice maker was Don Bowman. Since its completion, renovations have been done on it twice, once in 1987 and again in 1994. The Brier
The Tim Hortons Brier, or simply (and more commonly) the Brier (''french: Le Brier''), is the annual Canadian men's curling championship, sanctioned by Curling Canada. The current event name refers to its main sponsor, the Tim Hortons coffee and donut shop chain. "Brier" originally referred to a brand of tobacco sold by the event's first sponsor, the Macdonald Tobacco Company. The Brier has been held since 1927, traditionally during the month of March. The winner of the Brier goes on to represent Canada at the World Curling Championships of the same year. Brent Pierce
Brent Pierce (born July 7, 1969) is a Canadian curler and coach from New Westminster, British Columbia. Career Pierce is a 1987 provincial junior champion skip, and a four-time provincial champion, former national and world champion playing third for Greg McAulay. Pierce last represented BC at the Brier in 2009 with the Sean Geall team. Pierce's 1987 Vancouver team of Darin Fenton, Bryan Miki, and Ross Graham won the provincial championships, qualifying them for the 1987 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They finished the round-robin with a 7–4 record. This qualified them for the playoffs, where the lost in the semifinals to Team Ontario, skipped by Wayne Middaugh. Pierce didn't make it back to a national tournament until 1998 when he had joined forces with Greg McAulay as his third. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery.
