Andrei Mudrea
Andrei Mudrea (29 April 1954 – 16 January 2022) was a Moldovan painter and fine artist. He was one of Mihai Grecu's disciples. He was the creator of paintings, graphics, sculpture, and art-object works. He was the founder and member of "The group of ten". Mudrea's body of work occupies a leading position among the works of Moldovan contemporary and avant-garde art. He was the chairman and a member of various competition panels in the field of fine arts held in Chișinău. Mudrea's works, created over three decades, record an evolution that marks several stages of ascension. They carry an individual message, of deep philosophical character and those correspond to artistic aspirations and are related to the changes that occur in the national cultural environment. Orhei District
Orhei () is a district ( ro, raion) in central Moldova, with its administrative center in the city of Orhei. As of 2014 Moldovan Census its population was 101,502. History The Orhei region has been inhabited since the Stone Age. Settlements included the ancient city of Getae (located near modern Trebujeni). Getae stood from the eighth to the second century BC and was abandoned after an invasion by a Germanic tribe, the Bastarnae. Non-fortified settlements were located on the riverbank. A medieval fortress of earth and wood was later constructed near the former site of Getae, which stood from the 12th to the 14th century AD. During the 14th century, the Golden Horde occupied the region; the town was conquered, and its name changed to Shehr al Jedid. From 1363 to 1365, Horde leader Abdullah Khan resided in Shehr al Jedid. Grigore Vieru (; 14 February 1935, Pererîta, Hotin County, Kingdom of Romania – 18 January 2009, Chișinău, Moldova, Republic of Moldova) was a Moldovans, Moldavian poet, writer and unification of Moldova and Romania, unionist advocate. Tudor Zbârnea (born 29 December 1955) is a Moldovan painter. Zbârnea has contributed to the assertion, in Chișinău, of an original artistic thinking stream that was against "artistic vigilance" mentality, which was too hostile to the spectacular innovations in plastic art. Andrei Sârbu (born 6 December 1950 in Chișinău – died 14 April 2000 in Chișinău) – Moldovan painter who contributed to the introduction of a modern approach to painting in Moldova. Known for his non-figurative works, Pop Art series and Photorealism. Life Between 1963 and 1966 Andrei Sârbu studied at the A.V.
