Andelsbuch
Andelsbuch is a municipality in the district of Bregenz in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. Population Initiatives The Werkraum Bregenzerwald is an association of craftsmen in the Bregenz Forest founded in 1999. It aims at networking and supporting craft, design and technology businesses in the area. The publicly accessible place is used to present the craftsmanship, to promote building culture in cooperation with architects and to increase design competence and quality of craftsmanship with the preferred involvement of young people. In 2013, the ''Werkraum Haus'' opened in the center of Andelsbuch. The house was planned by the well-known Swiss architect Peter Zumthor and built by the member companies of the Werkraum Bregenzerwald. Werkraum Bregenzerwald
The Werkraum Bregenzerwald (literally "Bregenz Forest workroom") is a cooperation and association of craftsmen and traders in the Bregenz Forest (Austria) founded in 1999. When the association was founded, almost a third of its members were carpenters. By 2009, the Werkraum Bregenzerwald counted 90 craft, design and technology businesses as association members. Philosophy and goals It offers its members institutionalised support in the areas of member service, product and design innovation, education and training, and building culture. By supporting and establishing networks among craftsmen, the Werkraum Bregenzerwald contributes to the regional economic and cultural development. Martina Rüscher
Martina Rüscher (née Valentini; born 25 July 1972, in Innsbruck, Austria) is an Austrian politician for the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and communications consultant. She has been, since 2014, a member of the parliament of Vorarlberg. Rüscher is married, has three sons and lives in Andelsbuch in the Bregenz Forest. Education and profession Born Martina Valentini, she was born in 1972 in Innsbruck and grew up in Landeck in Tyrol (state), Tyrol. From 1986 to 1991, she attended the College for Economic Occupations in Innsbruck and graduated there. From 1991 to 1993, she also studied at the Economic and Foreign Language Academy of the University of Salzburg. Vorarlberg
Vorarlberg ( , ; gsw, label=Vorarlbergisch, Vorarlbearg, , or ) is the westernmost States of Austria, state () of Austria. Peter Zumthor
Peter Zumthor (; born 26 April 1943) is a Swiss architect whose work is frequently described as uncompromising and minimalist. Though managing a relatively small firm, he is the winner of the 2009 Pritzker Prize and 2013 RIBA Royal Gold Medal. Early life Zumthor was born in Basel, Switzerland. His father was a cabinet-maker, which exposed him to design from an early age and led him to become an apprentice for a carpenter later in 1958. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule (arts and crafts school) in his native city starting in 1963. In 1966, Zumthor studied industrial design and architecture as an exchange student at Pratt Institute in New York. In 1968, he became conservationist architect for the Department for the Preservation of Monuments of the canton of Graubünden. Bregenz Forest
The Bregenz Forest (german: Bregenzerwald, ) is one of the main regions in the state of Vorarlberg (Austria). It overlaps, but is not coterminous with, the Bregenz Forest Mountains, which belong to a range of the Northern Limestone Alps, specifically the northern flysch zone. It is the drainage basin of the Bregenzer Ach river. Geography The regional inhabitants often divide the Bregenz Forest into two main areas, the Vorderwald ('anterior forest') and Hinterwald ('hinterforest').
