Andalusian Language Movement
Andalusian is a dialect of Spanish spoken in Andalusia, Spain. However, a recent fringe movement has aimed at the differentiation of Andalusian from Spanish and at its standardization. Several groups and organizations have emerged attempting to defend the notion of Andalusian as a separate language from Spanish, such as the Society for the Study of Andalusian (ZEA), ''Er Prinçipito Andalûh'' (EPA) and AndaluGeeks. ' ("Standard for Andalusian"; EPA), a standardized orthographic norm for Andalusian, is one of the most impactful initiatives coming from the movement. The EPA has seen use by various users on the Internet, and a dictionary, a keyboard for Android, a Spanish–Andalusian transcriber and Andalusian versions of ''Minecraft'', Telegram and Wikipedia have been created using this writing system. Libertad Digital
''Libertad Digital'' (literally, ''Digital Freedom'') is an advocacy journalism online newspaper edited in Madrid, Spain. It does not follow a particular party line, but it claims to be classic liberal, It is published in Spanish. Origins ''Libertad Digital'' was founded by Federico Jiménez Losantos who continues to be associated with the publication. Its first edition was released on 8 March 2000. It was also promoted by the economist Alberto Recarte, who was the first president of the Libertad Digital society, and Javier Rubio, who was its first editor. In 2004 the media firm decided to seek a capital expansion. Some of the shares were acquired by people connected to the Popular Party such as the party's then treasurer Álvaro Lapuerta. Andalusian Workers' Union
The Andalusian Workers' Union ( es, Sindicato Andaluz de Trabajadores, ) is a trade union in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. The SAT was established in 2007 and it is supported by 20,000 affiliates. The SAT's ideological basis are anti-capitalism, internationalism and Andalusian nationalism. It is led by Diego Cañamero. The Andalusian Workers' Union is known by its "Robin Hood" style protest actions. In August 2013, SAT activists raided a Carrefour supermarket in Seville and took ten shopping carts filled with school materials like pencils, erasers and notebooks which will be distributed to "families in need". Hispanicization
Hispanicization ( es, hispanización) refers to the process by which a place or person becomes influenced by Hispanic culture or a process of cultural and/or linguistic change in which something non-Hispanic becomes Hispanic. Hispanicization is illustrated by spoken Spanish, production and consumption of Hispanic food, Spanish language music, and participation in Hispanic festivals and holidays. Statute Of Autonomy Of Andalusia
The Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia is a law hierarchically located under the 1978 Constitution of Spain, and over any legislation passed by the Andalusian Autonomous Government. During the Spanish transition to democracy, Andalusia was the one region of Spain to take its path to autonomy under what was called the ''"vía rápida"'' ("fast way") allowed for by Article 151 of the 1978 Constitution. That article was set out for regions like Andalusia that had been prevented by the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War from adopting a statute of autonomy during the period of the Second Spanish Republic. Following this procedure, Andalusia was constituted as an autonomous community February 28, 1980. The regional holiday of the Andalusia Day commemorates that date.
