Ana Miralles
Ana Miralles (born 16 December 1959; also spelled as Ana Mirallès) is a Spanish comic books artist, known particularly for her treatment of erotic subjects. After a degree in fine arts, she became an illustrator for publishing houses Gregal, Teide and Bromera. She later worked increasingly in bande dessinée comic books, first finding publication in 1982 with the Spanish adult comic magazine '' Rambla''. Her first black-and-white album, '' El Brillo de una Mirada'', came out in 1990, written by Emilio Ruiz. This was later coloured and released in France as ''Corps à corps''. Her first comic series was the '' Eva Médusa'' trilogy, set in Brazil in the 1920s, which she made with Antonio Segura; the first volume was published in 1991. She worked again with Ruiz on '' A la Recherche de la Licorne'' from 1997 (an adaptation of Juan Eslava Galan's bestselling novel). ''Djinn'' is a Franco-Belgian comics series written by Jean Dufaux and illustrated by Ana Miralles. The story is an adult adventure-thriller and deals with themes of sexuality and colonial politics. The first four volumes make up the "Ottoman Cycle" while the following five comprise the "Africa Cycle". The "Indian Cycle", planned for four volumes, started in 2010 with the volume "Le Pavillon des Plaisirs". Antonio Segura (June 13, 1947 – January 31, 2012) was a Spanish comics writer. Biography Antonio Segura's earliest work appeared in the early 1980s after meeting the experienced artists José Ortiz, Luis Bermejo and Leopoldo Sanchez who were looking for a scriptwriter untainted by the industry. Taking this opportunity, he wrote a series for each of them '' Hombre'', ''Orka'' and '' Bogey'', respectively. With some effort, these became published, and joined in the wave of emerging Spanish adult comics that bloomed in the post-Franco era. ''Hombre'' began a successful run in the magazine ''Cimoc'', and Segura started collaborating with Jordi Bernet, creating the amazone fantasy series '' Sarvan'', also appearing in ''Cimoc''.
