''An Acoustic Night at the Theatre'' is the second live album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation that has been released in October–November 2009. History The album is made up of the acoustic set at Eindhoven's Muziekcentrum Frits Philips, from the band's Theatre Tour, on 30 November 2008. It also includes a new studio recording, "Utopia", a duet with Chris Jones, which was released as a single on 23 October 2009. Drummer Mike Coolen performed on the acoustic set: he later became the band's full-time drummer, replacing Stephen van Haestregt who moved on to new band My Favorite Scar. Within Temptation
Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded in April 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. They have been classified by critics as gothic metal and symphonic metal, although each album contains other influences outside these genres. Their most prominent and well-known sound is described as symphonic metal, although their earlier material, such as debut album '' Enter'', was mostly gothic metal,Sharpe-Young, "Metal: The Definitive Guide" (2007), p. 294 with ''Enter'' also having a hint of doom metal. "Stand My Ground" is the first single from Dutch band Within Temptation's album ''The Silent Force''. The song is also included on the US edition of the band's 2007 album ''The Heart of Everything''.
