Americans for Immigration Control is an American activist group that opposes illegal immigration to the United States. Based in Monterey, Virginia, it advocates for increasing funding to the United States Border Patrol, introducing punishments for employers that hire undocumented immigrants, and reforms to reduce legal immigration to the United States. Illegal immigration to the United States is the process of migrating into the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. This can include foreign nationals (aliens) who have entered the United States unlawfully, as well as those who lawfully entered but then remained after the expiration of their visas, parole, TPS, etc. Illegal immigration has been a matter of intense debate in the United States since the 1980s. Monterey is a town in Highland County, Virginia, United States. The population was 147 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Highland County. Reconquista (Mexico)
The ''Reconquista'' ("reconquest") is a term to describe an irredentist vision by different individuals, groups, and/or nations that the Southwestern United States should be politically or culturally returned to Mexico. Such opinions are often formed on the basis that those territories were claimed by Spain for centuries and then by Mexico from 1821 until they were ceded to the United States during the Texas Annexation (1845) and the Mexican Cession (1848) because of the Mexican–American War. Chicano
Chicano or Chicana is a chosen identity for many Mexican Americans in the United States. The label ''Chicano'' is sometimes used interchangeably with ''Mexican American'', although the terms have different meanings. While Mexican-American identity was related to encouraging assimilation into White American society and separating the community from the African-American political struggle, Chicano identity emerged among anti-assimilationist youth. American Immigration Control Foundation (AIC Foundation) is an American political group that campaigns to reduce immigration to the United States, particularly from developing countries and countries in Central and South America. It is a large publisher and distributor of publications dealing with immigration into the United States. AIC Foundation also conducts multi-media campaigns around the country to raise public awareness of immigration problems. It is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Founded in 1983 and based in Monterey, Virginia, AIC Foundation received more than $190,000 through 1998 from the controversial Pioneer Fund. AICF was headed by John Vinson from 1990 to 2003.
