Amba Prasad (politician)
Amba Prasad is an Indian politician from Jharkhand and a member of the Indian National Congress. She has been elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand from Barkagaon in 2019 Jharkhand Assembly Election . She is the youngest legislator in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly 2019. Early life She is daughter of former MLA of Barkagaon Yogendra Sao. Her mother Nimala Devi was also MLA from Barkagaon who was jailed. She passed her matriculation from Carmel girl school, Hazaribagh in 2007 and Intermediate from DAV public school, Hazaribagh in 2009. Hazaribagh
Hazaribagh is a city and a municipal corporation in Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It is the divisional headquarters of North Chotanagpur division. It is considered as a health resort and is also popular for Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary ( from city). It is represented in the Indian Lok Sabha by its Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha. Etymology The name of the town 'Hazaribagh' (हज़ारीबाग़) is derived from two Persian words: ''Hazar'' (هزار) meaning 'one thousand' and ''bagh'' (باغ) meaning 'garden'. Hence the meaning of Hazaribagh is 'city of a thousand gardens'. According to Sir John Houlton, however, the town takes its name from the small villages of Okni and Hazari – shown on old maps as Ocunhazry. Yogendra Sao is an Indian politician from the Indian National Congress party. He is a former agriculture minister in the Government of Jharkhand, where under his leadership Jharkhand state got first rank for pulse seed production across India. He was the representative from Barkagaon constituency in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly during 2009-2014. Former minister fought for the right of displaced people and organised a series of protests by the residents of Barkagaon and Keredari Block under the leadership of Mr. Sao resulted in the raising of compensation rate payable to the owners of the land acquired by NTPC.
