Amatory
Amatory (commonly stylized as MATORY'', to fit their logo) is a Russian metal band from Saint Petersburg, formed in 1998 by Denis ''DENVERZhivotovsky and Daniil ''STEWARTSvetlov. Later in 1998, they were joined by Evgenyy PJ Potekhin but the official birthday of the band is April 1, 2001, when Sergey ''GANGOsechkin joined and the trio became a quartet. They are considered to be among the pioneers of Russian alternative metal but their musical approach changed over the years. Despite relatively little media exposure, Amatory has gained a huge following in a short time through their live performances in Russia, Eastern and Northern Europe, and Central Asia. Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial. Darrell Lance Abbott (August 20, 1966 – December 8, 2004), best known by his stage name Dimebag Darrell, was an American musician. He was the guitarist of the heavy metal bands Pantera and Damageplan, both of which he co-founded alongside his brother Vinnie Paul. He is often regarded as one of the greatest heavy metal guitarists of all time. Epica (band)
Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen after his departure from After Forever. Formed as a symphonic metal band with gothic tendencies, later Epica have incorporated into their sound strong death metal influences. Amaranthe is a Swedish metal band originally known as Avalanche. The band is notable for their blend of various metal genres and having three lead vocalists. Stigmata is a Russian metalcore band based in Saint Petersburg that formed in 2000. History Stigmata was formed in 2002 by Taras Umansky (guitar) and Denis Kichenko (bass guitar) as a nameless band.
