Hounslow () is a large suburban district of West London, west-southwest of Charing Cross. A make-up artist, also called a makeup artist, and often shortened to MUA, is an artist whose medium is the human body, applying makeup and prosthetics on others for theatre, television, film, fashion, magazines and other similar productions including all aspects of the modeling industry. The Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling is the Academy Award given to the best achievement in makeup and hairstyling for film. Traditionally, three films have been nominated each year with exceptions in the early 1980s and 2002 when there were only two nominees; in 1999, when there were four nominees. Beginning with the 92nd Academy Awards, five films were nominated. Nick Dudman is a British make-up effects and creature designer for motion pictures. Dudman and his team have created the make-up effects and the animatronic creatures in the ''Harry Potter'' films, garnering BAFTA Award nominations for six of the eight films in the series.
