''Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2'' is a 2011 fantasy film directed by David Yates from a screenplay by Steve Kloves. The film is the second of two cinematic parts based on the 2007 novel ''Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'' by J. K. Rowling. It is the eighth and final instalment in the ''Harry Potter'' film series and the sequel to '' Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1'' (2010). The story concludes Harry Potter's quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes in order to stop him once and for all. David Yates
David Yates (born 8 October 1963) is an English film director, producer and screenwriter, who has directed feature films, short films, and television productions. He is best known for directing the final four films in the ''Harry Potter'' series and the first three films of its prequel series, '' Fantastic Beasts''. His work on the ''Harry Potter'' series brought him critical and commercial success along with accolades, such as the British Academy Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing. Yates directed various short films and became a television director early in his career.
