Alpine Skiing At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Men's Combined
The men's combined competition of the Beijing 2022 Olympics was held on 10 February, on "Rock" and " Ice River" courses at the Yanqing National Alpine Ski Centre in Yanqing District. Johannes Strolz of Austria became the champion, winning the first Olympic medal. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde of Norway won the silver medal. James Crawford won bronze, also his first Olympic medal. The 2018 champion, Marcel Hirscher, retired from competitions. The silver medalist, Alexis Pinturault, qualified for the Olympics, and the bronze medalist, Victor Muffat-Jeandet, did not qualify. Alpine skiing, or downhill skiing, is the pastime of sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed-heel bindings, unlike other types of skiing ( cross-country, Telemark, or ski jumping), which use skis with free-heel bindings. Albin Tahiri (born 15 February 1989) is a Kosovo Albanian World Cup alpine ski racer. He represented the Kosovo Olympic Committee for the first time in Winter Olympic Games in February 2018. Tahiri is a dentist by profession and he trained in Slovenia, Austria and Italy. Early life Tahiri was born in SR Slovenia from Kosovo Albanian father and Slovenian mother. Ivan Kovbasnyuk (born 18 May 1993) is a Ukrainian alpine skier. He represented Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Skiing career Kovbasnyuk began skiing at the age of three.
