Colette Alliot-Lugaz
Colette Alliot-Lugaz (born 20 July 1947) is a French soprano, particularly associated with Mozart. Career Born in Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, she began her musical studies in Bonneville (Haute Savoie), and later in Geneva, with Magda Fonay-Besson. She completed her training at the Paris Opéra-Studio with René Koster and Vera Rosza. She made her stage debut as Pamina, in a production of ''The Magic Flute'' by the Opéra-Studio, in 1976. Although Mozart would always remain at the core of her repertoire (Le nozze di Figaro, Susanna, Don Giovanni, Zerlina), she gradually included roles such as Il barbiere di Siviglia, Rosina, Der Freischütz, Annchen, Véronique (operetta), Véronique, as well as many roles in opera by Monteverdi, Rameau, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Charpentier and Haydn. Michèle Yvette Marie-Thérèse Jeanne Honorine Alliot-Marie (; born 10 September 1946), known in France as MAM, is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from France. She is a member of the Republicans, part of the European People's Party. A member of all right-wing governments formed in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, she was the first woman in France to hold the portfolios of Defense (2002–2007), the Interior (2007–2009) and Foreign Affairs (2010–2011); she has also been in charge of Youth and Sports (1993–1995) and Justice (2009–2010), and was granted the honorary rank of Minister of State in her last two offices. Philippe Alliot
Philippe Alliot (born 27 July 1954) is a former racing driver who participated in Formula One from to and from to . He raced for RAM, Ligier, Larrousse and McLaren. Early career Prior to his career in Formula One he competed during 1976 and 1977 in Formule Renault, and won the championship in 1978, in the BP Racing team. With said team he also won the French Formula Renault championship and went on to French Formula Three. He finished third in his first race and moved to the European Formula 3 Championship in 1980. By 1983 he moved to Formula Two but hit the headlines that year when he finished third in the Le Mans 24 Hours with Michael and Mario Andretti in a Kremer Porsche. Formula One In 1984 Alliot joined the Skoal Bandit RAM F1 team, but did not enjoy much in the way of success.
