All Seasons Place, Penang
All Seasons Place is a shopping mall at Air Itam, a suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Opened in 2012, it is the first strip mall in Penang and forms part of All Seasons Park, a mixed residential-commercial development. The three-storey, open-air mall was designed by Cottee Parker Architects, a renowned Australian architectural firm. Most of the mall's retail outlets are arranged in a row facing the Thean Teik Highway with sidewalks stretching along the outlets and with ample of indoor and outdoor car park. Air Itam
Ayer Itam (also spelt Air Itam or Air Hitam) is a suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Nested within the central valleys of Penang Island, it is located approximately southwest of the city centre. Ayer Itam is one of the well-known places to sample Penang cuisine, and includes a handful of major tourist attractions such as Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Temple. The area now known as Ayer Itam was first developed in the late 18th century, soon after the founding of Penang Island by Captain Francis Light in 1786. British officials intended to turn Ayer Itam, including Penang Hill, into an agricultural area and established spice farms. Gelugor
Gelugor is a southern suburb of George Town in Penang, Malaysia. Named after a plant species, Gelugor lies along the eastern seaboard of Penang Island, between Jelutong and Sungai Dua, and nearly south of the city centre. Gelugor had been populated as early as the late 18th century by Malay fishermen who arrived from Sumatra. The area was then cleared for agricultural plantations by David Brown, a partner of Captain Francis Light.
