Earlan Bartley (born December 19, 1993), better known as Alkaline, is a Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae musician from Kingston, Jamaica. Early life Earlan was born in Kingston's Victoria Jubilee Hospital. He attended Ardenne High School and studied Media and Communication at the University of the West Indies. During his time in high school is when he started to have the determination for music. With the support of his close friends he visited local recording studios after school whenever he had the chance. Career 2011–2014: Early career Bartley began recording at the age of 16 and using the stage name Alkaline. When he was still in school, he made songs like "Proof", "Mi Love Woman", "Reflections" and "Missing You" creating long-term predictions and expressing his teenage experiences while making music videos on school grounds and in the streets of Jamaica with his close friends. Ardenne High School
Ardenne High School is a prominent coeducational, first-to-sixth form secondary school located in St. Andrew, Jamaica. The institution is best known for its high academic standards, among the highest in the Caribbean, and for its achievements in the performing arts and several sports, most notably basketball and netball. The school's principal is Miss Nadine A Molloy. Regarded by some as one of the top secondary institutions in Jamaica, Ardenne High has consistently performed extremely well in examinations regulated by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). Byiome Muir (born 29 April 1984), better known by his stage name I-Octane, is a Jamaican reggae dancehall recording artist from Clarendon Parish, Jamaica. He is known for integrating positive and socially conscious subject matter into his music, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and Rastafarian teachings. Biography Byiome Muir grew up in Sandy Bay, a small community east of May Pen in Clarendon Parish, Jamaica.
