Alireza Nabdel
Alireza Nabdel (Persian: علیرضا نابدل, Azerbaijani: Əlirza Nabdil Oxtay; born 1944 in Tabriz; died 1971 in Tehran) was an Iranian Azerbaijani poet, teacher, social critic and a leftist activist. He was among the primary founders of Organization of Iranian People's Fedai Guerrillas. He was a friend of Samad Behrangi and composed a popular song about him, after his death in the Araz river. Azerbaijani () or Azeri (), also referred to as Azeri Turkic or Azeri Turkish, is a Turkic language from the Oghuz sub-branch spoken primarily by the Azerbaijani people, who live mainly in the Republic of Azerbaijan where the North Azerbaijani variety is spoken, and in the Azerbaijan region of Iran, where the South Azerbaijani variety is spoken. The Organization of Iranian People's Fedai Guerrillas (OIPFG; fa, سازمان چريکهای فدايی خلق ايران, Sāzmān-e čerikhā-ye Fadāʾi-e ḵalq-e Irān), simply known as Fadaiyan-e-Khalq ( fa, فداییان خلق, Fadāʾiān-e ḵalq, lit=Popular Selfsacrificers) was an underground Marxist–Leninist guerrilla organization in Iran. Samad Behrangi
Samad Behrangi ( fa, صمد بهرنگی; June 24, 1939 – August 31, 1968) was an Iranian teacher, social activist and critic, folklorist, translator, and short story writer of Azerbaijani descent. He is famous for his children's books, particularly '' The Little Black Fish''.
