Alfons Peeters (21 January 1943 – 5 January 2015) was a Belgian footballer. During his career he played for R.S.C. Anderlecht. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. The 1970 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final was the twelfth season final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, staged on 22 and 28 April 1970 between Anderlecht of Belgium and Arsenal of England. The Belgium national football team represents the country of Belgium in international association football. It is fielded by the Royal Belgian Football Association, the governing body of football in Belgium, and competes as a member of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which encompasses the countries of Europe. As over 600 players have featured in the team since it started officially registering its players in 1904, only players with more than 20 official caps are included.
