Alexander C. Cameron
Alexander C. Cameron (June 30, 1907 – January 16, 1996) was an educator, Automobile repair shop, garage owner, and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Maple Creek (provincial electoral district), Maple Creek as a Liberal from 1948 to 1971 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. He was born in Avonhurst, Saskatchewan, and was educated at Campion College, Regina, Campion College in Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina, and at the University of Saskatchewan. Cameron taught in several schools in southwest Saskatchewan and was high school principal in Richmound, Saskatchewan, Richmound. In 1935, he married Miriam Stodalka. From 1941 to 1960, he operated a garage in Richmound in partnership with his brother-in-law, John (Jack) Stodalka. Cameron also served as the village's mayor. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. Richmound ( 2016 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Enterprise No. 142 and Census Division No. 8. It is approximately northeast of Medicine Hat, Alberta. The economy is driven in large part by the oil and gas sector as well as agriculture. Ross Thatcher
Wilbert Ross Thatcher, (May 24, 1917 – July 22, 1971) was the ninth premier of Saskatchewan, serving from May 22, 1964 to June 30, 1971. He led the Saskatchewan Liberal Party in four general elections, in 1960, 1964, 1967 and 1971. Thatcher was defeated in his first election in 1960, but won the next two elections in 1964 and 1967 with majority governments.
