Alex Lee (Australian Comedian)
Alexandra Clair Lee is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, and television presenter. She has appeared in a range of comedy television series on the ABC and SBS, including '' The Feed'' and several programs by The Chaser team. She is also the host of the ABC quiz show ''Win the Week'', starring alongside Craig Reucassel. Early life Lee was born to an Australian mother and a Chinese father, who met in Sydney in 1975. She grew up in Southern Sydney, and studied journalism at the University of Sydney. Career Lee began her career in journalism, as a producer for ABC News 24. She took part in the Walkley Foundation's Australia-Korea Media Exchange Program, and later became a political reporter for BuzzFeed. The Checkout
''The Checkout'' was an Australian consumer affairs television series. The show's first series of 10 episodes premiered on 21 March 2013 on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) television station ABC TV. A second series consisting of 16 episodes commenced airing on 20 February 2014. On 9 April 2015, a third series consisting of 12 episodes began airing. The series was renewed for a fourth series, which began airing on 7 April 2016 consisting of 12 episodes. The series returned for a fifth series, airing twelve episodes between 6 April 2017 and 29 June 2017. ''The Chaser's Media Circus'' is an Australian television comedy quiz show which was broadcast on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) television station ABC. The series was produced by the Australian satirical group, The Chaser, consisting of Chris Taylor, Julian Morrow, Craig Reucassel, Andrew Hansen and Chas Licciardello. The show was a panel-like game and quiz show, with contestants using their knowledge about current media events to win. ''Saturday Night Rove'', also referred to as ''Saturday Night'', is an Australian television variety show hosted by comedian Rove McManus. The program premiered on Network Ten on 24 August 2019 and aired on Saturdays at 7:30 pm. It featured a mixture of live and pre-recorded entertainment, including skits, live crosses, guest interviews, pranks, challenges and comedy acts & routines. John Henry Michael McManus (born 21 January 1974), better known by the stage name Rove McManus, is an Australian triple Gold Logie award-winning comedian, television and radio presenter, producer and media personality. Alan Belford Jones AO (born 13 April 1941 or 1943) is an Australian former radio broadcaster. He is a former coach of the Australia national rugby union team and rugby league coach and administrator. The shows, which have run under various titles, provide commentary on Australian federal election and has been produced since 2001 for ABC TV. ''The Roast'' was a flagship Australian satirical news show that screened on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) television channel ABC2. The daily ten-minute show was hosted by Tom Glasson and featured Mark Humphries, Clarke Richards, Alex Lee, Jazz Twemlow and Nich Richardson.
