Aleppo International Stadium
The Aleppo International Stadium ( ar, ملعب حلب الدولي) is an Olympic-standard, multi-use, all-covered and all-seater stadium in the Syrian city of Aleppo. It is the largest stadium in Syria, and is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Al-Ittihad football club. It also hosted some home games of the Syrian national football team. The stadium was opened in 2007 and holds up to 53,200 spectators. The venue is located near the al-Hamadaniah Sports City in the southwestern part of Aleppo. History The construction of the stadium was launched in 1980, based on the design of the Polish Constructor Stanislaw Kus with the assistance of architect ''Fawzi Khalifeh''. Salaheddine District
Salaheddine District ( ar, حَيّ صَلَاحُ الدِّين, Ḥayy Ṣalāḥu d-Dīn) is a district in the southern part of the city of Aleppo, Syria. The district was named after Saladin, the Muslim leader who defeated the Crusaders in the 12th century. The district gained international attention during the Battle of Aleppo in July 2012 as it became a hotly contested battleground between the Syrian Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army. Abdulkader Dakka ( ar, عبد القادر دكة; born 10 January 1985 in Latakia, Syria) is a Syrian footballer. He currently plays for Al-Wahda, which competes in the Syrian Premier League the top division in Syria. He plays as a defender, wearing the number 30 jersey for Al-Wahda and for the Syrian national football team he wears the number 17 shirt. 2010 AFC Cup Knockout Stage
The 2010 AFC Cup was the 7th edition of the competition, played between clubs from nations who are members of the Asian Football Confederation. The Knockout stage of the competition was held following the completion of the Qualifying competition. The 2010 AFC Cup was the seventh edition of the AFC Cup, playing between clubs from nations who are members of the Asian Football Confederation. With the Asian Football Confederation currently reviewing the format of the AFC Champions League between 2009 and 2010 season, significant changes were made in the way the competition is run, the teams that will qualify for the AFC Cup is also expected to be from different countries compared to the previous editions. Deniz Barış (born 2 July 1977) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder or centre-back.
