''Producing Adults'' ( fi, Lapsia ja aikuisia – kuinka niitä tehdään?) (''Children and Adults – How To Make Them?'') is a 2004 Finnish comedy drama written by Pekko Pesonen and directed by Aleksi Salmenperä. It was Finland's official Academy Award submission for Best Foreign Language Film of 2004. Plot The film deals with the myriad complications arising from Venla's (Minna Haapkylä) desire to have a child. Her longtime boyfriend Antero (Kari-Pekka Toivonen) is reluctant, fearing that fatherhood will imperil his last chance to succeed in his speed skating career and by seeing his friend go through fatherhood. Antero does some extreme things to avoid getting Venla pregnant and she begins to be equally devious in her attempts to conceive. The film tells the story of an overly protective and controlling father who suspects incest is taking place between his own son and daughter. ''Alcan Highway'' is a 2013 documentary film by the Finnish director Aleksi Salmenperä. It is a road movie about a dream of being somewhere else. The film was shot in 2011. The film The protagonist of the film is Hese Tolonen of Helsinki, Finland, who does not have a permanent dwelling in his home town. Freezing weather, snow and a vagrant lifestyle do not go well together, and Hese has come to the conclusion that the best location for him with his lifestyle would be on Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada. He wants to acquire a cheap place for himself, with wheels. For this, he finds and old abandoned GMC truck in a junk yard in Wasilla, Alaska.
