Aleksandra Mikulska
Aleksandra Mikulska (born November 17, 1981, in Warsaw, Poland) is a Polish classical pianist. She is the current president of the Chopin Society in Darmstadt, Germany. Biography Mikulska was born in Warsaw. She began piano education at the age of six. She attended a class for young talent at the Karol Szymanowski Complex of State Music Schools in Warsaw. Mikulska went on to study with Peter Eicher at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe. She subsequently continued her studies at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” di Imola in Italy, where she was influenced by Lazar Berman, Boris Petrushansky and Michel Dalberto. After completing the studies, Mikulska enrolled in Arie Vardi’s postgraduate solo performance class at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, where she received her Performer's Diploma in 2010. Lev Natochenny
Lev Natochenny (Russian: Лев Наточенный) (born January 26, 1950) is a Russian-American classical pianist and professor of piano. Born in Moscow, Natochenny graduated from the Moscow "Tchaikovsky" Conservatoire, where he was taught by Lev Oborin. He also studied with Boris Zemliansky and Eliso Virsaladze as well as with Alexei Lubimov (chamber music) and worked in the violin class with David Oistrakh. In 1978, because of his discontent with the Soviet government's control of the music scene, Natochenny applied for and was granted the permission to leave the USSR, which he did in 1978. He went on to receive a gold medal and Second Prize at the 1981 Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy while he was stateless. Philippe Bach (born 1974) is a Swiss conductor and current music director of Meiningen's Hofkapelle and Theatre. Biography Bach was born in Saanen, Switzerland, and studied Horn in Bern and Genève and conducting in Zürich. Philippe Bach was a Junior Fellow in Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and also attended the American Academy of Conducting at the Aspen Music Festival. In 2006, Philippe won the first prize of the Lopez Cobos International Opera Conductors Competition and was appointed assistant conductor of the Teatro Real in Madrid. Kaspar Zehnder (born 27 August 1970 in Riggisberg, Canton of Bern) is a Swiss conductor and flutist. He studied classical languages at the Lyceum in Bern and music at the University of the Arts Bern. His music teachers included Heidi Indermühle (flute), Ewald Körner (conducting), Agathe Rytz-Jaggi (piano) and Peter Streiff and Arthur Furer ( music theory). He further took conducting master classes with Ralf Weikert, Werner-Andreas Albert and Horst Stein. Michael Sanderling (born 21 February 1967) is a German conductor and violoncellist. Biography Born in East Berlin, Michael Sanderling is the son of the contrabassist Barbara Wagner and the conductor Kurt Sanderling. He received his first cello lessons at age five in Berlin. At age eleven, he became a student of Matthias Pfaender at the Spezialschule für Musik Berlin. The 17-year-old Sanderling was accepted at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin and studied with Josef Schwab. He took further lessons with William Pleeth, Yo-Yo Ma, Gary Hoffmann and Lynn Harrell. In 1987, he won a 1st prize at the Maria Canals International Music Competition.
