Albina Akhatova
Albina Khamitovna Akhatova (russian: Альби́на Хами́товна Аха́това, tt-Cyrl, Альбина Хәмит кызы Әхәтова; born 13 November 1976) is a Russian (of Tatar origin) former biathlon, biathlete. She was banned for two years for doping. Career At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she won bronze medals in the pursuit and individual; she originally finished fourth in the individual but was promoted when her teammate Olga Pyleva was disqualified after failing a doping test. She also won gold, silver, and bronze medals in Olympic relay competitions in 2006, 1998, and 2002, respectively. Akhatova also won the gold medals in the mass start at the 2003 World Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk. In 1999 in Oslo, she won the bronze medal, and in 2004 in Oberhof, Germany, she won the silver medal, both over the distance of 15 km. Nikolsk (russian: Нико́льск) is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, town and the administrative center of Nikolsky District, Vologda Oblast, Nikolsky District in Vologda Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Yug River. The 34th Biathlon World Championships were held in 1999 in Kontiolahti, Finland. Due to the cold, the individual and the mass start events were moved to Oslo, Norway. Erythropoietin (; EPO), also known as erythropoetin, haematopoietin, or haemopoietin, is a glycoprotein cytokine secreted mainly by the kidneys in response to cellular hypoxia; it stimulates red blood cell production (erythropoiesis) in the bone marrow. Dmitri Vladimirovich Yaroshenko (russian: Дмитрий Владимирович Ярошенко; born 4 November 1976) is a Russian former biathlete. He broke through during the 2006–07 season at the age of 30, after winning a European Championship silver medal in 2004. He won one victory in the Biathlon World Cup, the Hochfilzen sprint in 2007. However, ahead of the 2009 World Championships, it was announced that Yaroshenko had tested positive for a banned substance. Yaroshenko subsequently received a two-year ban from competition. After being unable to return to his former level and the World Cup, bar one race, after the end of the ban, Yaroshenko retired after the 2012–13 season. Olga Valeryevna Medvedtseva (russian: Ольга Валерьевна Медведцева), former Pyleva (russian: Пылёва), née Zamorozova (russian: Заморозова), (born 7 July 1975) is a former Russian biathlon, biathlete. At the 2002 Winter Olympics she won an individual gold medal in the 10 km pursuit, as well as the bronze medal in the team relay. Pyleva also won twice at the Holmenkollen ski festival biathlon competition during the 2004–05 season in the sprint and pursuit events.
