Albania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway, with the song " It's All About You" performed by Juliana Pasha. Its selected entry was chosen through the national selection competition Festivali i Këngës organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) in December 2009. To this point, the nation had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest six times since its first entry in . Prior to the contest, the song was promoted by a music video and live performances both in Macedonia and the Netherlands. Albania was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 25 May 2010. Performing as number 12, the nation was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the grand final. Festivali I Këngës
Festivali i Këngës (; ), also referred to as simply FiK, is an annual music competition in Albania organised by the national broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH). Broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1962, it has also determined the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. Various singing presentations have been used throughout its history, beginning with radio-only interpretations in the first few years, live performances, playback, remakes, and even duets featuring other singers. The winners have traditionally been selected by a jury. However, other voting methods have also been applied, such as televoting or regional juries. At times, the head juror has carried twice the voting power of other jurors. Jonida Maliqi
Jonida Maliqi (; born 26 March 1983) is an Albanian singer and media personality. Throughout her career, Maliqi has won six awards at Kënga Magjike and first place in 2008. She is also a double winner of accolades at the Top Fest in 2006 and 2010 respectively. Maliqi played Bithia in the Albanian version of '' The Ten Commandments: The Musical'' and starred as Juliet in the Albanian theatre production of '' Roméo et Juliette''. Eneda Tarifa
Eneda Tarifa (born 31 March 1982) is an Albanian singer, actress and television host. She represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, after winning the 54th edition of Festivali i Këngës. Life and career Tarifa was born in Tirana, Albania on 30 March 1982. She began her career in 2001, participating in Kënga Magjike with the song "Ika larg". In 2003, she participated at Festivali i Këngës 42 with the song "Qëndroj", and managed to qualify to the final. Soni Malaj (born 23 October 1981), also known mononymously as Soni, is an Albanian singer, songwriter and dancer. Life and career Soni Malaj was born on 23 October 1982 into an Albanian family in the city of Tropojë, then part of the People's Republic of Albania, present Albania. Her real name is Sonja Malaj. Olta Boka (born 13 September 1991) is an Albanian singer. She represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Zemrën e lamë peng", after winning Festivali i Këngës 46.
