State Route 18 (SR 18) is a state highway in northwest Alabama. Route description SR 18 begins at the Mississippi state line near Vernon. In Vernon, it junctions with SR 17. It continues on its curvy route east, then southeast to the Fayette County line. It then junctions with SR 107. It turns south and junctions with SR 96 west. It then junctions with US 43 north and SR 171. It continues southeast with US 43 south. It makes an unusual curve south in Stough. It turns east again and junctions with SR 13. SR 13 continues north independently and continues south with US 43 at this junction. It does not maintain a concurrency past this point. The route passes through Berry and maintains a concurrency with CR 63. After this concurrency ends, SR 18 continues east on its own route. Richard Arthur Field is a city-owned public-use airport located three nautical miles (4 mi, 6 km) northeast of the central business district of Fayette, a city in Fayette County, Alabama, United States. This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 and 2009–2013, both of which categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. State Route 69 (SR 69) is a state highway that extends from the southwestern to the northeastern parts of the U.S. state of Alabama. The southern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with SR 177 at Jackson. The northern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with US 431/ SR 79 at Guntersville. Route description SR 69 has a rather irregular trajectory for much of its length. From its southern terminus at Jackson, the highway heads to the northwest as it travels through Clarke County. In the northern part of the county, the highway turns northeastward as it approaches Linden. North of Linden, SR 69 assumes a general northward trajectory, traveling through Greensboro as it heads towards Tuscaloosa, the largest city through which the highway travels. Jasper, Alabama
Jasper is a city in and the county seat of Walker County, Alabama, United States. Its population was 14,352 as of the 2010 census. Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero, Jasper was settled around 1815 and incorporated on August 18, 1886. The first significant growth of the area was in 1886, when the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad and the Sheffield & Birmingham Railroads were completed through Jasper. The population grew from 200 people in 1886 to more than 3,000 in 1890. Berry is a town in Fayette County, Alabama, Fayette County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 1,148, down from 1,238 at the 2000 census. History The town was named for Thompson Berry, a local landowner. The town incorporated in 1883 as "Berry Station". Except for a portion roughly between Berry and Russellville, SR 13 is the unsigned designation for U.S. Route 43 (US 43).
