Al Bennay
Al Bennay ( ar, البنيه), is a village located in Mount Lebanon, Aley District, Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon. It is located approximately 30 km from Beirut at an altitude between 750 and 800m, and has an area of 3 km². Al Bennay is bordered by Damour River to the south/east, Kfarmatta to the west, Kabreshmoun to the north and Aabey to the west. It overlooks the Damour River and Bshatfeen, which can be seen from any point in the village. Al Bennay has relatively warm summers. In winter, there are occasional snow falls, which may remain on the ground for a couple of days. Temperature in winter ranges from 12 °C to occasionally below freezing. The main families in Al Bennay are Yehya, Wehbe, Jaber, Hassan, Shamseldeen, Nasr, Daou and Hamdan. Damour River
Damour river or (, Nahr Al Damour) is a coastal river in the Mount Lebanon Governorate in Lebanon. The river's headwaters originate in and around the slopes of the 1943-meter peak Jabal el-Barouk, site of a nature preserve where some of Lebanon's largest and oldest Cedars of Lebanon are found, and flows west through the Jisr Al-Kadi valley, where it receives water from the creeks of the Chouf mountains. Aabey
Aabey, also spelled Abey ( ar, عبيه), is a village located in Mount Lebanon, in Aley District of Mount Lebanon Governorate. It is located from Beirut and has an altitude of 800 m (2,600 feet). It is bordered by Kfarmatta (South), Al Bennay (East), Damour (West), and Ain Ksour (North). Damour
Damour ( ar, الدامور) is a Lebanese Christian town that is south of Beirut. The name of the town is derived from the name of the Phoenician god Damoros who symbolized immortality ( in Arabic). Damour also remained the capital of Mount Lebanon for three centuries. Geography The city is located in one of the few flat areas of the Lebanese coast. It is built to the north of the river, the ancient Tamyrus, which bears its name on a dune overlooking the Mediterranean. It is surrounded by plantations of bananas and vegetable crops.
