Aizawl College
Aizawl College is a college in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is accredited with B+ Grade by NAAC and has 445 students currently studying in the college. History Established as ‘Aizawl College’ in 1975 by a team of philanthropic citizens meeting at the Office chamber of the then Legislative Assembly Speaker, Dr. H.Thansanga, on the 13 January 1975, Aizawl College (later renamed Government Aizawl College following its take-over by the State Government) was formally inaugurated by Pu Ch. Chhunga, the first Chief Minister of Mizoram. Classes started on the evening of 25 August 1975 with 350 students of Pre University Class and six Lecturers. It was up graded to Deficit Grant-in-aid status with effect from 1 November 1984 and became Government on 1 January 1989. The Pre-University Course or Pre-Degree Course (PUC or PDC) is an 2-year Senior Secondary Course under the 10+2 education system after Class 10th (SSLC, SSC) and the PUC commonly refers to Class 11th and Class 12th and called as 1st PUC (1st Year Pre-University Course) and 2nd PUC (2nd Year Pre-University Course) respectively in the pre-university colleges also known as Junior Colleges and this course exists only in some state boards of India because almost all the national and state boards in india provide schooling till class 12th. Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is an athletic stadium in Mualpui, Salem Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is used mainly for football and athletic games. This stadium is named after Rajiv Gandhi, 6th Prime Minister of India and currently it is the home stadium of I-League side Aizawl FC. The stadium is also used by clubs of the Mizoram Premier League. Mizoram University
Mizoram University is a central university under the University Grants Commission, Government of India, and was established on 2 July 2001, by the Mizoram University Act (2000) of the Parliament of India. The President of India is the official Visitor, and the Governor of Mizoram acts as the Chief Rector as per Mizoram University (Amendment) Bill, 2007. History The university is the fruit of the Mizoram Peace Accord between Mizo National Front and Government of India on 30 June 1986. However, it was not created de novo. The North Eastern Hill University, with its headquarters at Shillong had already run its Mizoram campus since 1978. NEHU
North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is a Central University established on 19 July 1973 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The university is in the suburb of Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya, India. The university has two campuses: Shillong and Tura both are in Meghalaya. The first pro-vice chancellor was Early Rising Singha It is the University Grants Commission's ''University with Potential for Excellence'' (conferred in 2006). The Chief Minister of Mizoram is the chief executive of the Indian state of Mizoram. As per the Constitution of India, the governor is a state's ''de jure'' head, but ''de facto'' executive authority rests with the chief minister. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.
