Aire River (Victoria)
The Aire River is a perennial river of the Corangamite catchment, located in The Otways region of the Australian state of Victoria. Location and features The Aire River rises below the Otway Ranges in a remote forestry area southeast of the locality of . The river generally flows west by south then south through the Great Otway National Park, joined by three minor tributaries, before reaching its mouth and emptying into Bass Strait west of Cape Otway. The river descends over its course; including a descent over the Hopetoun Falls in its upper reaches, located at an elevation of above sea level. The river is traversed by the Great Ocean Road and the Great Ocean Walk near the river's mouth. River Aire
The River Aire is a major river in Yorkshire, England, in length. The ''Handbook for Leeds and Airedale'' (1890) notes that the distance from Malham to Howden is direct, but the river's meanderings extend that to . Between Malham Tarn and Airmyn, the river drops . Part of the river below Leeds is canalised, and is known as the Aire and Calder Navigation. Course The Aire starts at Malham Tarn and becomes a subterranean stream at 'Water Sinks' about one mile (1.6 km) before the top of Malham Cove, it then flows underground to Aire Head, just below Malham, in North Yorkshire, and then flows through Gargrave and Skipton. Great Otway National Park
The Great Otway National Park is a national park located in the Barwon South West region of Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. The national park is situated approximately southwest of Melbourne, Australia, Melbourne, in the Otway Ranges, a low coastal mountain range. Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage listed stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford. Built by returned soldiers between 1919 and 1932 and dedicated to soldiers killed during World War I, the road is the world's largest war memorial.
