Aleen Isobel Cust (7 February 1868 – 29 January 1937) was an Anglo-Irish veterinary surgeon. She was born and began her career in Ireland. In 1922 she became the first female veterinary surgeon to be recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Early life and education Aleen Cust was born in 1868 in Cordangan Manor, County Tipperary. Her father Sir Leopold Cust, 2nd Baronet was the grandson of Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow, and worked as a land agent to the Smith-Barry family. Her mother Charlotte Sobieske Isabel (née Bridgeman) was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Charles Orlando Bridgeman, and granddaughter of Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Earl of Bradford and Sir Henry Chamberlain, 1st Baronet. Aileen Miranda Geving ( Sormunen; born February 13, 1987) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She represented the United States on the women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics and earned her first national championship in 2020. Career Geving began curling in 1996. Aileen Fyfe is a historian. Academia Fyfe formerly lectured on the history of science and technology, typically nineteenth-century, at NUI Galway, . Since 2011 she has been based at the University of St Andrews and is Director of Research for the School of History. Her research there is focused on the circulation and consumption of knowledge from the late seventeenth century onwards. Fyfe is a member of the Council of the History of Science Society (USA). Aileen Christina Frisch (born 25 August 1992) is a South Korean-Slovenian luger. Frisch competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2022 Winter Olympics for South Korea. Sports career In 2012, Frisch became the world junior female singles luge champion, competing as a German. Frisch failed to make the German luge team for the 2014 Winter Olympics. She retired from luging in 2015 at age 22. After her retirement, she was contacted by German coaches hired by South Korea to become a naturalized South Korean and join the South Korean luge team. At first, she refused, but in 2016, she consented and acceded to a second request when she started missing the competitions. Aileen Mary Fox, Lady Fox, ( Henderson; 29 July 1907 – 21 November 2005) was an English archaeologist, who specialised in the archaeology of south-west England. She notably excavated the Roman legionary fortress in Exeter, Devon, after the Second World War. Biography The daughter of a solicitor, Aileen Mary Henderson was educated at Chinthurst School in Surrey and then at Downe House School in Kent, where she remained after it moved to Berkshire, under the headship of Olive Willis. She went on to read English at Newnham College, Cambridge. After graduating in 1929, she worked as a volunteer excavating at Richborough, Kent, under J. P. Bushe-Fox. Biography Elliott was born in Southampton to Jean Alexander Brown (1864–1944) and Walter Pearson Elliott, a timber merchant and company managing director. Aileen LeBell Eaton (February 5, 1909 – November 15, 1987) was a boxing and professional wrestling promoter who was influential in the United States' west coast's boxing and wrestling scene for five decades.
