Giovanni Enrico Vaymer (March 17, 1665 – November 1738) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period. He was born in Genoa. His father, the painter Enrico Vaymer, was originally from Kiel in Holstein. His mother, Maddalena Ricci, was Genoese. In Genoa, he initially became a pupil of a mediocre painter called Schiena, but through connections with a local cardinal he was recommended to work with the Genoese Giovanni Battista Gaulli in Rome. Luca Maria Invrea
Luca Maria Invrea (Genoa, 1624Genoa, 1693) was the 126th Doge of the Republic of Genoa and king of Corsica. Biography His mandate, the eighty-first in biennial succession and the one hundred and twenty-sixth in republican history, was judged in the annals as magnanimous, respectful of the people and the laws, and like his predecessors he sought to remedy the ever growing tension with Louis XIV of France which exploded in 1684 in the naval bombardment of Genoa. As doge he was also invested with the related biennial office of king of Corsica. At the end of the dogate on 13 August 1683, Luca Maria Invrea was elected perpetual prosecutor and continued to work in public circles. In the post-dogal period he also had the coveted position of prior of the chapel of San Giovanni of the Genoese cathedral. He died in Genoa in 1693. The Marquisate of Finale was an Italian state in what is now Liguria, part of the former medieval Aleramici March. It was ruled for some six centuries by the Aleramici branch known as marquesses del Vasto (when they also held the March of Savona) and later Del Carretto, when Savona became a free commune.
