Aeroplane (musician)
Vito de Luca, better known as Aeroplane, is a Belgian nu disco music producer and DJ. Known for incorporating a mix of French house and balearic beat, Aeroplane made a name for himself as a club DJ. Aeroplane's music is disco-styled, often on the 1980s decade. Aeroplane's remixes are described by themselves as "spacious cosmic disco" tracks. Formerly Aeroplane was a duo, consisting of Vito de Luca and Stephen Fasano (currently known as The Magician), who left in 2010. Biography Aeroplane's music has been picked up by many world DJs which gained them popularity. Auvelais
Auvelais ( wa, Åvlè) is a town of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Sambreville, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. The town lies in a meander of the River Sambre. The town of Auvelais was formed in 1809 from the merger of the villages of Auvelais-la-Comté and Auvelais-le-Voisin. The ''Essential Mix'' is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 and 2:00 a.m. UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the ''Essential Mix'' features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires are an English indie rock band from St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently signed to XL Recordings. Their self-titled debut album was released on 1 September 2008, and was announced as one of the shortlisted twelve for the 2009 Mercury Prize on 21 July 2009. History Friendly Fires met at St Albans School. At the age of 13, in year eight and nine (the second or third year), the members formed their first band, a post-hardcore outfit called First Day Back, covering songs by Green Day and other rock-like artists, which existed until they began university. Hearts On Fire (Cut Copy Song)
"Hearts on Fire" is a song by Australian electronic music band Cut Copy, released in 2007 as the lead single from their second studio album, ''In Ghost Colours'' (2008). The song's chorus contains a small vocal sample from Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight". A re-edited version of the song, produced by Tim Goldsworthy, was released on 5 July 2008 and served as the album version. Pitchfork Media named "Hearts on Fire" the seventh best track of 2008. Music video The music video, directed by Nagi Noda and shot on location in Japan, portrays a lovelorn frontman Dan Whitford suffering from a breakup. He is constantly followed by a rainy cloud hanging over his head, which represents his sadness. Cut Copy (sometimes stylised as Cut/Copy) are an Australian synth-pop band formed in 2001 by Dan Whitford (vocals, keyboards and guitar). Originally a home-recording project, the band now includes Tim Hoey (guitars), Ben Browning (bass guitar), and Mitchell Scott (drums). Allez Allez was a successful but short lived Belgian funk band founded in 1981 and disbanded in 1985. They subsequently reformed with a line-up change for several concerts in 2017. History On the verge of an international breakthrough in 1981, funky Belgian new wave band Marine lost their singer Marc Marine while in London to record a Peel session. Quickly replaced by Sarah Osborne of Repetition, they recorded the planned Peel session and changed their name to Allez Allez. The group had local hits with "She's Stirring Up", "Allez Allez" and "African Queen", the latter a tribute to Grace Jones. Dimitri from Paris (born Dimitrios Yerasimos, el, Δημήτριος Γεράσιμος; 27 October 1963) is a French music producer and DJ of Greek descent. His musical influences are rooted in 1970s funk and disco sounds that spawned contemporary house music, as well as original soundtracks from 1950s and 1960s movies such as '' Breakfast at Tiffany's'', ''La Dolce Vita'' and '' The Party'', which were sampled in his album '' Sacrebleu''. Kathy Diamond is a funk/disco house singer-songwriter from London, United Kingdom. She was born in Sheffield in the north of England.
