"Adore" is a song written and recorded by Australian singer-songwriter Amy Shark. It was released independently and digitally on 26 July 2016 and re-released in November 2016 after signing with Sony Music Australia. It received heavy airplay on Triple J and quickly gained traction with other more mainstream radio stations in early 2017. Shark described the track as a tribute to those that are "crushing hard", and ultimately wants to instill confidence in those who feel like they are trapped in a world of emotional turmoil. Speaking to Savage Thrills, Shark said "I wrote it very quickly and the second I threw my headphones on to listen back to what I had recorded through my phone I knew it was special. t'sjust one of those songs that didn’t need heaps of words". Paul Anthony Dempsey (born 25 May 1976) is an Australian musician. He is best known as the lead singer, guitarist and principal lyricist of rock group Something for Kate. ''Same Kind of Different'' is the debut extended play (EP) by Australian indie pop artist Dean Lewis. It was released on 12 May 2017. In an interview with ''Stack Magazine'', Lewis said "I go through phases when I'm writing songs; if I'm surging to that kind of music, I'm just keen to write songs like that. I think that there's a thread through them. But I've written 100 to 150 ongsin the last two years so it was really tough choosing songs for the EP. ''Like a Version'' is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs (an "original") and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song " Like a Virgin". It was created by Mel Bampton as part of the ''Mel in the Morning'' program. The segment was later moved to Robbie Buck's Drive program, and then to the Breakfast Show. Due to the intimate nature of the studio, the performance is often acoustic or otherwise stripped-back, however some bands have stretched this concept. The segment has grown in popularity over the years, leading to the release of compilation CDs featuring the best covers. Some particularly well-received covers have also made it into the Triple J Hottest 100.
