Associação Académica da Brava ( Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Akadémika da Brava'') is a football (soccer) club that plays in the Brava Island League in Cape Verde. The logo and the uniform as well as other teams with the name Académica and Académico in Cape Verde is identical to Académica de Coimbra. It has a small "Br" on the bottom of the left letter A (standing for Associação, Association in Portuguese), the first two letters, the island of the club being based, Brava. About the club Their first island title was won in 2002 and their recent in 2012. The club appeared in the national championships for the first time in 2002. Estádio Aquiles De Oliveira
Estádio Aquiles de Olveira, also as Aquilo de Oliveira is a multi-use stadium in Nova Sintra on the island of Brava, Cape Verde, as the island size is small, it is the only sports venue on the island. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Académica, Benfica and Sporting, clubs based from other parts of the municipality outside Nova Sintra plays at the stadium including SC Juventude da Furna and SC Morabeza. The stadium holds 1,000 people and its ground is artificial grass. The stadium is operated by the Brava Regional Football Association (ARFB). SC Morabeza
Sport Clube Morabeza is a football club in Cape Verde that plays in the Brava Island Division in Cape Verde. It is based in Nova Sintra the island of Brava and plays at Estádio Aquiles de Oliveira where all the clubs from Brava even those based outside the capital play. The club name's etymology is the name predominantly used in Cape Verde and it is used in other music albums and the hotel in the island of Sal. Its current coach is Alfredo Moreira, himself a former player. Together with Sporting, it is Brava's most successful teams. The Brava Island Opening Tournament (Portuguese: ''Torneio de Abertura da Brava'', Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Turnéu di Abertura da Braba''), is an opening tournament competition (equivalent to a league cup) played during the season in the island of Brava, Cape Verde The competition is organized by the Brava Regional Football Association (''Associação Regional de Futebol da Brava, ARFB''). Some seasons featured rounds of one portion, some seasons featured three rounds and two groups with the top club of each group in the final match. It currently consists of six rounds, a meeting with another club once. The winner with the most points (sometimes in the final) is the winner. The Brava Island Cup (Portuguese: ''Taça (Copa) da Ilha da Brava'', Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Tasa da Braba'' or ''Tasa dja Braba'', Brava Creole: ''Taça dja Braba'') is a regional cup competition and is played during the season in the island of Brava, Cape Verde, it consists of all the clubs from all the two regional divisions and are divided into about four to five rounds, for some seasons, a group stage was featured. The cup competition is organized by the Brava Regional Football Association (Associação Regional do Fogo, ARFB).The cup winner competes in the regional super cup final in the following season when a cup winner also wins the championship, a runner-up competes. The 2012 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 33rd of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 5 May and finished on 7 July, slightly earlier than last year. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Sporting Praia won the ninth title (eleventh overall), it would be the club's most recent title win. This time, Sporting Praia did not participate in the 2013 CAF Champions League. No club also participated in the 2013 CAF Confederation Cup. The 2002 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 23rd of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. The competition started on 11 May and finished on 6 July 2002. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Sporting Praia won their fourth title. No club participated in the 2003 CAF Champions League and the 2003 CAF Winners Cup. Overview Onze Unidos was the defending team of the title. A total of 9 clubs, 36 matches were played and 117 goals were scored. It was one of the few seasons that the total number of points would be the champion, it had fewer games compared to other football leagues and this would be the last season to do so. The Brava Super Cup (Portuguese: Super Taça da Brava, Capeverdean Creole: ALUPEK: ''Super Tasa da Braba'', Brava Creole: ''Super Taça Dja Braba'') is a regional super cup competition played during the season in the island of Brava, Cape Verde. The competition is organized by the Brava Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol da Brava, ARFB). Its current champions is Académica da Brava who won their only title in 2016. The regional champion competes with the cup champion. If a champion also has a cup title, a cup club who is runner-up qualifies. Several cancellations occurred including in 2011 when all of the regional football competitions were canceled. The 2015 regional cup competition was not held and recently the 2017 competition was canceled due to that the 2016-17 Brava Cup did not take place due to financial or scheduling problems. Sporting Clube da Brava ( Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: ''Sporting Klubi da Brava'') is a football club that had played in the Premier division and plays in the Brava Island Division in Cape Verde.
