Abierto Del Litoral
The Coast Open, or Abierto del Litoral, is a golf tournament played in Argentina. Founded in 1932 as the Torneo de Profesionales (Professional Tournament), a name only used for the first two editions, it has always been played at the Rosario Golf Club in Rosario, Santa Fe. The tournament has been a fixture on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Developmental Series. It was previously an annual stop on the higher level Tour de las Américas from 2000 until 2010 having been an event on that tours predecessor, the South American Tour, between 1993 and 1999. It was also included on the European Challenge Tour schedule in 2007 (2008 Challenge Tour, 2008 season), being one of five tournaments held in Latin America, and four in Argentina, that season. Fidel de Luca has the most victories, with eight. In 1932, 1952 and 1983 the championship ended in a tie, with no playoff being held to determine an outright winner. Julián Etulain
Julián Oscar Etulain (born 21 June 1988) is an Argentine professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Before turning professional in 2008, Etulain had won the Argentine Amateur Championship and had represented Argentina at a number of events including the 2008 Eisenhower Trophy. Jesús Amaya
Jesús Armando Amaya Contreras (born 24 August 1969) is a Colombian professional golfer. Amaya was born in Bogotá, and worked as a caddie at the Club Popular de Golf La Florida before turning professional in 1991. In addition to his many victories on the Colombian Golf Federation circuit, including three Colombian Open titles, Amaya has won six times on the Tour de las Americas, finishing second on the Order of Merit in 2000–01, and fourth in 2001–02. Ariel Cañete
Ariel Cañete (born 7 February 1975) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Cañete was born in Santa Teresita, Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1995. Having competed on the local Argentine Tour, and the Tour de las Américas earlier in his career, in 2002 Cañete began playing on the Challenge Tour, Europe's second tier development tour. He finished high enough in the end of season rankings in 2005 to gain a place on the main European Tour. He finished the 2006 season in 143rd position on the Order of Merit, which was not enough to secure full playing rights for 2007. José Cantero
José María Cantero (born 8 June 1959) is an Argentine professional golfer who played on the Challenge Tour, the European Tour and the Tour de las Americas. Cantero turned professional in 1985. He played on the European Challenge Tour in 1990–1994 and he won three tournaments, all three of them taking place in Sweden, on this tour. In 1990, he finished 8th in the Challenge Tour Rankings. In 1991, he placed 14th at the Lancia Martini Italian Open on the European Tour. In 1994, he played three tournaments on United States second tier Nike Tour, later named the Korn Ferry Tour. His best finish was tied 12th at the 1994 NIKE Central Georgia Open. Since the late 1990s, Cantero only played a few tournaments a year and only in South America. Rodolfo González (born 1 February 1967) is an Argentine professional golfer. González was born in Buenos Aires. He worked as a caddie in Ranelagh Golf Club, Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1989. González won the Argentine Tour Ranking in 1999. He competed on the Challenge Tour from 2005 to 2009 and his best finishes were third place in the Costa Rica Open in 2005, fourth in the Guatemala Open in 2007 and the Argentine Open 2008. Eduardo Romero
Eduardo Alejandro Romero (17 July 1954 – 13 February 2022) was an Argentine professional golfer. Nicknamed "El Gato" ("The Cat"), he won over 80 professional tournaments around the world, including eight on the European Tour and five on the Champions Tour, with two senior majors; he also won over 50 times in South America and was a member of the Argentine team at the World Cup on 14 occasions. Mauricio Molina (born 20 December 1966) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Molina was born in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba. He worked as a caddie in Buenos Aires, before turning professional in 1985. He is the nephew of the Argentine golfer, Florentino Molina. Molina won several tournaments in Argentina and South America, including the Mendoza Open in 1999 and the Metropolitan Championship in 2009. Marco Ruiz (born 2 December 1974) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. Early life and career Ruiz was born in Asunción. He is the godson of celebrated Argentine golfer Vicente Fernández. Ricardo González (born 24 October 1969) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career González turned professional in 1986, and has spent much of his career in Europe. He won a place on the European Tour in 1992 through qualifying school after playing on the second tier Challenge Tour in 1991. Having failed to win sufficient money to retain his tour card, he returned to the Challenge Tour in 1993.
