Aaron Cel
Aaron Cel (born March 4, 1987) is a French-Polish professional basketball player for Polski Cukier Toruń of the Polish Basketball League. Professional career Cel made his professional debut with Le Mans in the French Pro A League. He later played with Brest, Boulazac and Nantes in the French Pro B League. In the summer of 2011, he signed with Polish team Turów Zgorzelec. After he spent two seasons with them in June 2013, he signed with Stelmet Zielona Góra. In July 2015, he returned to France and signed with AS Monaco Basket. For the 2016–17 season he moved to French club BCM Gravelines. On August 6, 2017, he signed with Polish club Polski Cukier Toruń. National team career Cel represented the French national basketball team at junior level. He later acquired Polish citizenship and started to play for the Polish national basketball team. Poland National Basketball Team
The Poland men's national basketball team ( pl, Reprezentacja Polski w koszykówce) represents Poland in international basketball competitions. They are controlled by the Polish Basketball Federation (PZKosz). Poland has competed at the EuroBasket on 28 occasions, with their best performance at the tournament coming in 1963, as hosts, finishing as runners-up. Poland has competed six times at the Olympic Games, with their best finish being fourth place at the first edition of the event in 1936. 2018 Polish Basketball Cup
The 2018 Polish Basketball Cup ( pl, Puchar Polski 2018) was the 54th edition of Poland's national cup competition for men basketball teams. It was managed by the Polish Basketball League (PLK) and was held in Warsaw, in the Arena Ursynów in February 2018. Polski Cukier Toruń won its first-ever Cup title in club history. Qualified teams The eight first qualified after the first half of the 2017–18 PLK season qualified to the tournament. The highest placed four teams would play the lowest seeded teams in the quarter-finals. EuroBasket 2015
EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. The next five teams (, , , and the ) advanced to the World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. and later qualified due to Serbia and Italy hosting two of the Olympic qualifying tournaments while also qualified as an invitee. Spain won their third title by defeating Lithuania 80–63 in the final. France won bronze on home soil defeating Serbia (81–68). The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The VTB United League Top Player is an annual VTB United League award that is given to one player from each country that is represented by the league's clubs.
