2018 Polish Basketball Cup
The 2018 Polish Basketball Cup ( pl, Puchar Polski 2018) was the 54th edition of Poland's national cup competition for men basketball teams. It was managed by the Polish Basketball League (PLK) and was held in Warsaw, in the Arena Ursynów in February 2018. Polski Cukier Toruń won its first-ever Cup title in club history. Qualified teams The eight first qualified after the first half of the 2017–18 PLK season qualified to the tournament. The highest placed four teams would play the lowest seeded teams in the quarter-finals. Legia Warsaw (basketball), Legia Warsaw qualified as host of the tournament, and gained automatic qualification. Draw Matches were drawn on 11 January 2018. Vladimir Dragičević
Vladimir Dragičević (Serbian Cyrillic: Владимир Драгичевић; born May 30, 1986) is a retired Montenegrin professional basketball player who last played for Aris of the Greek Basket League. Professional career Dragičević made his senior debut with Lovćen Cetinje and later played for Budućnost Podgorica. In April 2011, he signed with Caja Laboral of the Spanish ACB League for the rest of the 2010–11 season. In July 2011, Dragičević signed a two-year deal with Spartak Saint Petersburg of Russia. Martynas "Marty" Gecevičius (born May 16, 1988) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Juventus Utena of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Standing at , he primarily plays at the shooting guard position. Professional career Gecevičius debuted in the EuroLeague during the 2007–08 season, averaging 3.2 points per game, which he increased to 14.2 points per game in the 2009–10 season, making him a desirable player in the 2010 summer transfer market. MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza is a Polish professional basketball team based in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The team currently plays in the PLK since 2014. History The basketball section of MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza was found in 1992. In 2003, the club started acting on the national third level. It played for several years in the 2 Liga, until the team won the championship in 2007–08 and was promoted. The team remained in the 1 Liga for the next 6 seasons.
