''A Snow Fairy Tale'' (russian: Снежная сказка, Snezhnaya skazka) is a 1959 Soviet fantasy film directed by Aleksei Sakharov and Eldar Shengelaia. Plot The film takes place before the New Year. The film tells about a boy-dreamer named Mitya, who is trying to convince his friends that his clock have an amazing ability to stop time and can revive a snow woman. Classmates do not believe Mitya, but suddenly his fantasies become reality. Eldar Shengelaia
Eldar Shengelaia ( ka, ელდარ შენგელაია; russian: Эльда́р Никола́евич Шенгела́я; born 26 January 1933) is a Georgian and Soviet film director and screenwriter who directed ten films between 1957 and 1996. From 1990 to 2004, he was a member of the Parliament of Georgia. He has been awarded the titles of the People's Artist of Georgia (1979) and of the Soviet Union (1988). He has been a chairman of the Film-makers' Union of Georgia since 1976. Since 2008, he has been chairman of the State Council of Heraldry at the Parliament of Georgia. Mikhail Pugovkin
Mikhail Ivanovich Pugovkin (russian: Михаи́л Ива́нович Пу́говкин; July 13, 1923, Rameshki, Chukhlomsky District of Kostroma Oblast — July 25, 2008, Moscow) (aged 85) was a Soviet and Russian comic actor named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1988. He studied in the Moscow Art Theatre school under Ivan Moskvin, took part in World War II and, following demobilisation, was featured in the 1944 all-star cast adaptation of Anton Chekhov's '' The Wedding''. Another step to stardom was the 1967 comedy ''Wedding in Malinovka''. Pugovkin went on to appear in more than 100 films.
